@jthomi Yeah, it’s a well-known tactic. In the industry I work in, they do it too—hide something in the code, post a blurry screenshot somewhere, and the internet goes crazy. It’s cheap and has a measurable impact. But we’ll never know the truth.

Iam not psychologist but Iam curious about next watches, but after all leaks iam less interested about this one :D.
I always wanted to give a try smaller Race watch, but lack of Sapphire was huge minus for me. Now seeing all leaked infos, i gonna stay with Race 2. I get used to 49mm which is a bit big on my hand, but still not oversized in terms how big watch should be to not looks funny.

The more i know, the more I can think if i really need to exchange. If race 3 or 4 would hit tommorow, maybe becouse of “impulse” I would order right now.

Probably If I would buy first Suunto right now I would get 3S instead of 2.

PS: To be still in topic. Iam wondering if this new battery type was installed in Vertical MIP, how long it would last. Race 3S seems got nice upgrade over Race 1S.

Only six days left and we will know more, there is an announcement on Suunto Instagram about a new watch. Well at least I think its a watch, It could also be a head lamp?

@aiv4r The same Amazon listing shows a photo of a runner wearing the watch with the map screen, and the map rendering looks quite different vs. the current version - with more high contrast colors. Let’s hope that Suunto has listened and optimized map contrast.

With regards to music storage - I couldn’t care less.

@sky-runner interesting about the maps there is also a frame in video where some kind of AI assistant is used, looks horrible. Could not care less about music, but interesting how race planner will be implemented, but also not on top of my wishlist.

Offline music would be great, it would mean I can leave my phone at home for shorter runs - I’d still take it with me for longer runs like trail etc.

This is the Winter map style. Available in your watch too

I don’t think so. In the winter map style the background is grey rather rather than while, bodies of water are light blue and almost invisible against the background, trails are nearly invisible against the background too because their color is just a shade different from the the background. If trails were visible on winter map, it would be my favorite map theme, but I think it is intended for winter sports rather than trail running.

@sky-runner I think this is just because of photo editing. I think the t-shirt is also white, but looks yellow-ish due to that.

My winter background in places is white, not grey.
Release FW of R3s has no extra map style.
The black structure at the bottom or the Pic is how cliffs are rendered.

@Egika Ok, in that case it was disingenuous to show the map in winter mode in that advertisement that shows a trail runner. Trails are nearly invisible on a winter map. The choice of colors is such that for a long time I thought that trails are not rendered at all.
