Serious pool swimming issue
-

Got similar problem, swimming activity with pool length set to 15m, the pool is actually 10 meters but there is no option below 15m. So I did 100 reps, 1000 meters, in watch 1500m. I’ve done this multiple times but yesterday the watch saved the session as ”butterfly swim” with 990m which might me gps correct. But only 1 interval and the time is correct in Suunto app. But upon uploading to Strava I saw the crazy hours as in the screenshots.

I am reporting this.

I’ve had workout sync glitches like this before, and it sounds more like a recording/sync bug than an actual pool-tracking issue. The watch clearly recorded the session correctly at first, but something went wrong when saving or syncing the intervals, which then messed up the distance and pace data in Suunto and Strava. Have you tried syncing it again after restarting the watch and app?

If anyone sent logs after the activity, send me a DM with the email associated with your account.

@isazi don’t know if telemetry is enabled like that or can I retrieve logs from recent activities in some way?
-
@primalivet so far I got logs from another user. Logs are sent via the App.

@iscottjames ahoj, data které máš dávají smysl.
Protože nastavit 15m a plavat 10m je rozdíl dojde tam k otočení. Příklad: Nastavím hodinky na 100m bazén Plavu směrem na sever v polovině otočím a plavu směrem na jih. Když se otočím na 50m započítá mi 100m.
Plavání v bazénu bez GPS funguje podle mě podle kompasu a gyroskopů -
@isazi same issue here, as described in previous posts. I can send a lig if that is helpful. Lmk.
-
@scotta yes please send it to me.

@isazi
I am a support person at Suunto Israel
I received three inquiries today regarding Android and iPhone
I would appreciate an update and what I can do to help -
@Danny-poleg so far I am collecting logs and reports, and added a link to this thread in the forum, in an overall ticket for this issue with swimming
-
@isazi share it with me

I cannot fix the root cause in the watch, but export to FIT files (and Strava) should gracefully handle the corrupted records. At least to the level when no intervals have abnormal duration.
To fix broken workouts in Strava you need to delete it, export FIT file from Suunto App for the workout and upload it to Strava

@isazi sent, thank you for the help.

Hi,
I’m experiencing the same issue today. I went swimming for 1,850 meters, and the activity duration was around 59 minutes. However, after finishing the workout and checking it in the Suunto app, the distance, pace, and duration are all showing very incorrect values.
I also noticed that the pace is currently not showing in the Suunto app at all.
Hopefully this can be fixed soon. Thank you!!

@pavel.samokha done, shared in Teams

Hello! Having the issue since last 2.56.18 - about weeek and something
Obviously there is a critical software bug but have no ode why it is still not fixed for such long time, in my view such critical problems should be resolved in a day or at least two but not weeks… -
@skobelev.np This won’t be fixed in days or weeks. Suunto releases a new firmware update every 3 months. And it’s only been a month since the last update. Unfortunately

-
@runyx17 I’m not sure that’s the case.
There was a glitch with the Suunto 9 Peak Pro a while back that was fixed via a quick update within a month. -
Hi,
Having the same issue with my Vertical 2, distance is calculated correctly during my lap swim, but when I complete the activity the distance changes and pace and duration of activity are completely out of whack. Please FIX!
