oSpotter - Gym workout tracker
-
Hello Suunto community
I published the workout tracker that I announced back in March
https://forum.suunto.com/post/187793The app allows preconfigure the exercises, sets and reps in the settings and then track reps, sets and rest on the watch during the Weightlifting activity.
I made it to suit my personal workout routine but looking forward for the feedback to try make it better for everyone who wants to use it. Please don’t hesitate to leave any feedback or feature requests
KNOWN ISSUES:
- list itemCan’t enter 1 in the rep or set field in the settings on iOS, works on Android (in progress)

-
Nice work, looks real promising!
Can the number of exercises to be configured be increased? I’d be able to fit the full P/P/L routine if there were 20 slots

A bug I noticed: you are not able to input 1 for sets (or reps, for that matter), “invalid value” is given.
-
@jussim the number can’t be configured dynamically unfortunately, but it I can/will increase it to 20 slots. Expect that be published by this Friday evening
Could you please make a screenshot of the error and specify your phone model/os version?

iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 27 Public Beta, Suunto App 3.13.1.

@jussim thank you, it works on android and debugging the settings requires republishing the app. I’ll test on ios, see what I can do and get back to you in a few days.

Hi !
I used the app and transferred my workout routine to it.
I love it ! It’s been really well done and works great abd keeps me focused just like with a coach . I don’t have to think about what’s next , how long to wait until next rep etc. !
Two minor suggestions… any chance to be able to put in a customized workout name? Like sometimes I use an ab Roller or mix in some fingerboard etc
And then I also have 2 routines I use different days a week. Is it possible to have more than 1 routine set up?
Again I’m super happy with it and these are just ideas!
-
I’m testing this out—it would be great to be able to use my own names or do a lot more exercises; I use a kettlebell…
-
Nice but need to add MORE exercises including single leg exercies.
-
It would be great addition to be able create pre dedermined workout days. Example I have “leg day”, and two different upper body days per week. When I’ll go to the gym then I just select that days training plan that would have the pre determined exercises.
-
@Juho-Leino that’s a genuinely great idea, but I’m afraid it’s impossible with the current capabilities of the Suunto SDK. Even the current workout config is not elegant to say the least. I will try to implement something similar as soon as the platform capabilities allow that
-

Hey folks, sneak peak for today’s (hopefully) release. I tried to address all the feedback items I could within the platform constraints. And a little redesign on top of it.
-
Nice looking revamp!
I’m not trying to be annoying but is iOS playing tricks again: I’m not able to open exercise list for exercises 13 and beyond. There should be a list available, yes? And not my sausage fingers

Here’s an idea I had: could the reps be selected via a number list? I think it would be easier than trying to get the cursor just right (again, my sausage fingers) so e.g. when replacing “5”, you don’t need to position cursor after the digit and delete it. So far at least for me, cursor seems to often position before the digit and it’s a nuisance to move it for replacing the value. What a complicated way to describe the problem, hopefully you can get the idea, sorry

@oleksandr Great work! Feature suggestion: I would love to see some data in the app after the workout, e.g. how many kgs lifted or even a breakdown of the data e.g. exercises, sets, reps, weight in some kind of table (if that’s at all possible) - but again, thanks for a great app!
-
@oleksandr a suggestion for future versions that I think would be of general interest is to add internationalization for the most widely spoken languages—such as Spanish, French, German, and Italian—which are easy to implement with IA these days. This should apply to both the configuration interface in the Suunto app (especially the exercise list) and the SuuntoPlus interface on the watch itself.
By the way, thanks for the app!
