Suunto Vertical Titanium Solar – firmware update stuck
-
My Suunto Vertical Titanium Solar is currently running firmware 2.48.16.
The Suunto iOS app offers 2.50.28.30094 and states that the software package has already been downloaded and that I should check the watch to continue the update.
However, on the watch under Settings → General → Software update, the watch reports that it is up to date. Therefore the update cannot be started.
I have already performed a factory reset, removed and re-paired the watch, reinstalled the Suunto app, removed/reconfigured Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, restarted both devices and waited overnight. The watch has more than 20% battery.
Wi-Fi connectivity of the watch has been successfully verified by downloading maps.
This appears to be the same issue described by user avanderlip in the Suunto Community Forum during the 2.30.26 update: the Suunto app reported the firmware package as downloaded while the Vertical incorrectly reported that its old firmware was up to date. That case was subsequently resolved with assistance from forum moderator isazi.

Gemini AI solved that problem for me.

Everything’s fine now. -
@AxelG no offense, but this is the worst: Saying everything is fine without providing the steps you have taken. Maybe it will help another user?
