World Clock widget with city selection and automatic DST
-
I use a Suunto Vertical 2 and want to wear it 24/7, including at work. I work with colleagues in South Korea and use World Time on my Casio to check whether it’s a good time to call or expect a reply. I miss that convenience on my Suunto.
Dual Time uses UTC offsets, so I have to look up the correct offset and track DST changes where applicable. I’d like to select a city and trust that the displayed time stays correct.
A World Clock widget or app could offer:
- Several saved cities, such as Seoul and New York.
- City names, local times and date differences.
- Automatic DST handling for each city.
- Quick access without entering settings or starting an activity.
City-based Dual Time on the watch face would be useful too. A separate widget would let me check multiple cities regardless of my chosen watch face.
This builds on the existing discussion about geographic locations versus UTC offsets, adding a dedicated multi-city view.
Thanks!
