Hi everyone and Suunto Dev Team,

I wanted to share a feature suggestion inspired by a real-life situation that I believe many of us could benefit from.

Recently, while out on a trail run, a friend accidentally dropped their phone. We ended up spending nearly 30 minutes retracing our steps and searching for it before finally finding it. That got me thinking about how useful it would be if our watches could actively help prevent or solve this issue.

Here are the two related features I’d love to see considered:

Bluetooth Disconnection Alert (General Daily Use & Activity):

A prompt vibration/tone or notification on the watch the moment the Bluetooth connection between the watch and the phone drops.

This would immediately warn the user if they walked away and accidentally left their phone behind (at a café, gym, trailhead, etc.).

Last Known Connection Point on Map (During Activities):

If a disconnection happens while recording an activity, the watch could automatically drop a waypoint/POI (e.g., “Phone Lost Connection”) on the route map using the watch’s current GPS coordinates.

This would allow the user to easily navigate back to the exact location where the phone likely fell or went out of range, saving tons of time and stress.

To prevent annoyance when moving around the house or during short breaks, these alerts could easily have a toggle in settings (e.g., Always On, During Activities Only, or Off).

What do you all think? Would this be a feature you’d find useful in daily life or out on the trails?

      Cheers!
