My watch is new just out from the box. When trying to use it this evening for my 10KM run, when I pressed the lower button, it will power off and cannot be restarted unless I will charge it. The battery is 98% so I guess that this is not a battery problem. Pls. help if anyone has experienced this.

@lcalumpa If it is a hardware problem, you should contact suunto support.

@Yannis-Belouris if the power cord is attached and it’s charge, all buttons will function well. No issue. But when I remove it and try pressing the lower button, it turns off. Other buttons functions well. If it’s a HW issue, why is it that if it’s charge, it functions well. Is it not a code bug?

Possible tests I would do (one at a time 🙂 )
            1 - Soft reset
2 - Let it discharge until it turns off, then recharge completely (to re-calibrate the battery)
            3 - Re-flash the FW
            4 - Hard reset
            5 - Return it

@sartoric The only item here that I have not done is the battery discharge completely. The other items, I have done it and it still is not working. My option now is to return it. Unfortunately, I have to ship it back to the US. Also, the address of Suunto in the invoice is their Finland site which it’s not the case. The order was made on-line thru Suunto website but II guess they send that request to the nearest store they have in the US to my location. This store address and contact no. is not present in the invoice. Having a problem here.

I guess it’s better if you try to contact support via email giving them all the order info and explaining the hw issue.
