@renton82 hahahahahah. It wasn’t on the Spartan and we’re working through year 3 of this watch. It’s not going to happen. But I’m with you, it’s a necessary feature for a watch to be a great swim watch.
-
I don’t understand why is a so difficult feature to implement. It was present on ambit 3…
-
@renton82 beats me
-
@renton82 while I don’t want to argue if it’s difficult or time consuming or resource consuming the Spartan /s and the ambit apparently dont share either the same UI either the same UX. Either have same operating systems.
Being there on the ambit , it’s like saying being there on a Garmin. Little help, except the “concept”
-
Sure, but but they all are Suunto watches, all Garmin watches from Fenix 2 (i don’t know Fenix “1”) to Fenix 6 support this feature (i don’t think Fenix 2 is similar to Fenix 6 hardware or software). However, controversy aside, it would be a killer feature for swimmers. That’s the reason why i can’t use a Suunto watch (apart for ambit 2 or ambit 3) for recording my swimming workouts. For every 3500/4000m, i always do 500/700m of drills so every time i would loose a consistent part of my training.
-
@renton82 among others I have requested this as well. I don’t swim lately but I used to and I do understand the importance.
It could even be a suunto plus with a list of drills.

The latest firmware update has absolutely shitty gps accuracy. How to downgrade to a certain version (2.8.24)?
-
@Алексей-Омельченко I (among others) don’t have such experience. Any example? Settings you use?

Not my case, exactly the same than before and no other has complain about that. So probably your GPS issues come from another place.
Is you AGPS up to date?

I have two friends telling me this but this should be commented in a proper topic.
-
The latest FW has no GPS changes
-
@Алексей-Омельченко if you are using Galileo, once again things are not well in recent weeks.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos the insta pace looks like the problem… I’ve tested in mine and I don’t have the issue…
-
@Bulkan we changed absolutely nothing about GPS + PACE etc.
Perhaps some loose strap or watch not worn the same way.
-
@halajos gps+qzss. Gps+qzss+glonass. Gps+qzss+galileo. All the same, for the speed faster than 3 min/km the signal is unstable. Training settings are all the same: one point per one second.
-
@Алексей-Омельченко can you make sure you have AGPS up to date? Also wait more than 1min for the green arrow even if ts a go.
-
@cosmecosta of course it is up to date.
I have updated firmware from 2.8.28 and I see the changes.
The same problem is with another device used by my friend. He had 2.11.38 and things became worse with 2.12.30 althoughIf needed, I can provide two trainings on the same track made within a week, one on 2.8.28 and anotger on 2.12.30
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos please do not try to ask questions such as about green arrow. Hope there is no idiots there and I’m not the one either
-
@Алексей-Омельченко take it easy bro! We are just trying to help! Sometimes the simplest thing work and there is nothing bad in check it.
-
@Bulkan if you know, please tell me how to downgrade to 2.8.28? I’ve tried the latest update. Nothing changed about high battery consumption for 24/7 activity enabled, gps also is getting worse. I don’t want this update maybe the next one will be better
