@dimitrios-kanellopoulos but if you look how trainer is flashing, it is flashing the same as the baro or spartan with ohrm
yes yes that is what I said. But S3F has it continuously. At the start I thought my unit was broken.
Anyways I am kinda sure there will be an upgrade to the FW but not sure if the S3F goodies will come, perhaps not due to limitation of Hw but more over licensing.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos when I first bought baro I thought my unit is defective cause how ohrm is flashing, as all previous watches which I have owned were flashing fast barely noticeable with naked eye or even not noticeable. I need to do test with the leds with continuously power supply and with impulse power supply would be interesting to test which solution draws more power

So, and then we can get rid of the SportsTracker Account? Right now its still not delete-able but I really still don’t need this another “tracking” account besides the app, Movescount and Strava. And I felt kinda forced to use it.
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos said in Suunto 3 Fitness Thoughts:
Regarding the MC let me shed some insight on this.
The MC integration with the Suunto app will come having MC as a dependency. That means that from the Suunto app you will connect to MC and not the way around.
This indicates that MC to Suunto app is a service and a relaltion similar to Strava with the Suunto app. Suunto app will not replace MC any time soon. And if that would have been the case you would already know. You don’t flip a switch in 6 months on a product. -
For the french user

@jthomi wait for the beta to end

@frédéric-fiandino merci

@slashas @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos that was a good debate to read. (I imagined it taking place in a Suunto pub, with app-icon coasters.)

@ze-stuart @slashas @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos (I imagined it taking place in a Suunto pub, with app-icon coasters)…That would be fun!!!

I am glad that you all enjoyed this debate
we will see the truth soon after few weeks, be patient

The patiently waiting weeks have now become 5 months. Has something crucial been done for the S3F? One small update without essential improvement was everything Suunto delivered. Very sad

I got my fitness 3 last week and I can it’s a great device for the money. I think that the only things that should improve are in app features like better sleep analysis, historical heart rate, Strava integration. I would be also happy if I could rearrange the screens on the watch.
-
@nikolavp I completely agree with you. The S3F is a great fitness watch - no doubt about it!
But what is completely wrong with me are the tracked altitude data (always 0) and the speed values. Unfortunately, during sleep tracking, the time to fall asleep is often delayed by 1 to 3 hours.
I hope that the improvements and additions you mentioned will be implemented soon. Would be a shame if the potential of this young watch was not developed further. It would greatly increase the attractiveness of this nice watch for recreational athletes.
Go - Suunto - go
-
Yes, I also saw the 0 altitude but I didn’t really care about it that much. I run and train mostly for myself :). That’s one of the reasons I didn’t find the need for a GPS inside if the watch but went with this one.
I agree that it would be a shame if they don’t develop this one but I guess this will also tell us if suunto is a brand worth investing in. If hey don’t develop it, I would just go with a Garmin next year and complain to my friends. I guess that’s how economy works

@Armin-S pleas be more patient there was vacation period and suunto needs some extra months to smash major bugs
then Christmas will come and another vacation cycle and then spring vacations period
My wife already gave up on trainer and waiting what new Apple Watch going to offer. My feelings are as well in conflict with suunto, great hardware weak software, I don’t get from suunto what I need the most so it is just matter of time when I am going to give up… -
@SlaSh thanks , but I don’t like the irony about because especially in the app there was progress not any releases though. Due to testers vacation mostly but still you don’t get it or demand too much.
Its fine pal. Get another boat we dont really like threats or irony especially when we expose information like this.
And then you ask why there is no roadmap -
Ok so my thoughts on Suunto 3:
I have it for two days now, and it looks nice, its not too big not too small. The display is OK, the buttons are easy to navigate, the menu is easy so overall i would say its good watch, espesially for this price except the following things:
- step count is almost completely inaccurate (i gain like 100 steps while driving to work, what the…?)
- for second day in row it just freeze and I had to restart it
- the app is completely lacking any details about 24H acticity, such like stress, hr data, sleep analysis etcetera
- Today i woke with 500 steps (I guess I move a lot while sleeping), but I mean, why you counts steps while during the normal sleeping hours?
I like it but those things buzz me crazy, especially having in mind my 20$ fitness bracelet have better software, and this is why I most probably will give it a few more days chance before I return it.
-
@Svetlin-Tonchev Just a question. Does it count steps while driving with the FW of yesterday and does your other step counter count as well?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Excuse me for ignorance but FW is? For the rest my other step counter counted ~10 steps, my phone 0. And this is 3th time in a row (going to and back from work) and S3 always counts like ~100 steps for the trip.
