Since one week I am using my new suunto 9 Baro watch.
Before I had a Suunto Traverse Amber.

With my previous watch I adjusted the altitude everytime during my hike. For example when I am at a mountainhut.

But I can’t find the option on my Suunto 9 Baro. Who can tell me how I can adjust the altitude manually during tracking a hike?!

FusedAltitude should help with keeping altitude in check during an activity, because I guess you can’t calibrate the altimeter during activities.

it adjusts automatically on the fly and if I understood it correct this will be improved with the next FW update

Okay. Today I was hiking in my town. Altitude is 22. But watch kept saying its 7

So that’s why I would like to change it manually

But okay. I understand the watch should do it by itself. And accurate?

@pcm_smeets you can calibrate, either manually or with GPS, before an activity.

@pcm_smeets I always ajust the altitude if I known it before exercise… if I do that within 30 min before exercise FuseAlti will be disabled, if I understand that well…

is it?! interesting, did not know that.
But I once asked if someone knows more details about fusedalti… no answer yet.

I also adjust alti frequently at home where I know the exact altitude.
When fusedalti activates it is sometimes up to 30m wrong.
that’s what I understood should be fixed with next FW update

So if I understand it well… I manually adjust the altitude BEFORE starting my hike.

And I can’t adjust it anywhere else during my hike?! The suunto 9 should do it automatically?!

                    Okay thanks
