      Good morning, I have my watch that looks like a flashlight at night, it lights up more than during the day.
      I haven’t found a setting to fix my problem.
      does anyone have an idea?

      happy new year

        @Daniel-Haeberli

        If you set “do not disturb” through night time the watch goes of o standby and light is dim even when active.

          @Daniel-Haeberli A reading of the manual or a search of the manual can help. Also, we need to know which watch you have. Here is the relevant section for the Suunto 9

            @Brad_Olwin I already have the options set as you described and it’s the same thing.

              What percent backlight do you have set? Do you use DND? Are you using the Standby mode?

                Yep, I aslo want more granular control over the backlight:

                Regarding the Do-not-Disturb Feature, I have to set that manually each day/night! 😞

                  @synner88 why manually? You can enable automatic DND for the night.

                    Interesting. My Suunto 9 doesn’t light up at night at all even though I don’t use DND and don’t change any settings at all. I just put it in nightstand next to me. After a short time the screen goes black and remains black until I put the watch on next morning.

                    I wonder what the difference is?

                      When the watch is not moving i.e. not on your wrist the screen will sleep. If you wear it for sleep tracking and have DND enabled, the screen will also go black unless Standby is on! Unfortunately, with Standby on, the backlight will remain on at a low level even if you enable DND. I have asked and wish this would change as I would like DND on to toggle Standby off.

                        In this morning, the screen was black at my S9 Baro, without the posibility to see what it’s the time, and when I’ve moved my hand, nothing was happened. The alarm was ringing, the sleep was recorded, but the screen had no reaction. After a soft reset, from the top button, my watch had reaction again and now it’s work good. What do you think that it was?

                          @Chindris-Bogdan unfortunately it’s not possible to remotely debug what happened to you. If it was a one off bug it’ll never happen again, otherwise you’ll better contact support. And if you find a way to reproduce that behavior it would be better.

                            @Chindris-Bogdan I had that. Sometimes I have seen people having it worse, the watch not using the screen at all. Solution was / is to drain the watch battery or turn it off
