Suunto 7
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos did my first run 10’ ago. This is my data:
1h run and 10km. The watch was connected to the iphone (i’m not 100% sure because my phone was receiving notifications but the watch didn’t). I try to use S7 like a did in S9 o ambit. Maybe I checked 60 times because I want to see how FC was going. I did a quick check to maps 3 times. The battery drops from 88% to 68%. I think this is not good.
Now my first impresions about the watch:
THE SCREEN IS GEORGEOUS.
SuuntoApp is very limited and I feel like having a deja-vu (hello! first time SSU user here). I have the feeling that at the usual rythm that suunto develop, the watch in a few months or maybe a year will be awesome, but at the moment is like to have a 200k porsche while driving at 30km/h.
The watch himself didn’t feel as robust as S9.
OH MAN! THE SCREEN IS OMFG!
-
@jorgefd78 about that 20% with running I am not sure honestly.
Regarding the feeling of robustness , strange I do find mine well.
Let me record a video.
-
And perhaps just a disclaimer to people here.
I am one of the persons that have not tested the s7 well. So kinda like a new user. Too little time Todo that so we are all in the same boat.

Happy story for a Friday night : after leaving the watch charging for 2 hours (with a black screen, no reaction at all), then it started and I’ve just done the initial setup. Time to play now
It’s good to know I guess that the initial power charge can take a while and is mandatory to start the setup!
Phew good to hear!

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I have settings in default mode (screen, brightness, tones and vibration). I’m try to check the battery from wear os app but it is not working
-
@jorgefd78 I think that needs time. Btw you had the watch updated right ?

These are some “on the balcony tests” done for you now.
Just don’t ask to drop it from the 7th floor I might do so

I realize this is nothing new in the internet world of things, but how cool is it that athletes from all over the world are all in one spot talking about a new watch at the same time.
-
@Storz there is that virus debate.
-
@jorgefd78 I bet . This one is the test device
I am waiting for my “own” paid and for one friends anytime

Good video of one from Road and Trail Run

-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos will suunto publish a roadmap of incoming features arriving to suuntoapp in wear OS?
-
@jorgefd78 no roadmap but I do know there is a lot of firepower dedicated.
There is a leak that says you won’t need to raise your wrist and use the full power processor to see maps and stats
Honestly there is much development involved from both side (Google + Suunto + Qualcomm)
-
disconnect the watch (100%) at 4:30pm. Now it is 7:45pm
-
@jorgefd78 system Android. I bet autoupdated apps.
Ok.
This might be a good tip.
Turn off autouodate apps on Google play on the watch.
I suspect that is the case here but no expert.
