@drunners definitely agree with point 1. If I’m wearing the S7 on the outside of my jacket there’s no point looking for HR.

Actually, this might not be needed. I only just noticed that the hr sensor seems to disable itself when not in contact with skin. I tried placing other things on top, such as material from my jacket, and the sensor didn’t seem to kick inn.

      @drunners

On 3 - does it do something like this already?

I notice occasionally if I wake in the night no matter how much I move to try and get it to display, I have to press a button to get to see the time, as though the watch has gone into a non-disturbing mode because I’ve been still ?

@nigel-taylor-0 sounds like theater mode or whatever they call it now.

@aleksander-h Indeed, but there’s nothing that I’ve activated or enabled that I’m aware of.

I think it happens if I fall asleep in front of the TV watching football on a Sunday afternoon after a long run too, so its nothing scheduled as such.

😆 I must start using spell checkers before posting.

@nigel-taylor-0 what settings are you using?
                AOD on off?
Touch to wake? Tilt to wake? Power save tilt?
Watch face? Suunto power save watch face?

Basically this shouldn’t be occuring - if you have AOD on, the most it should do is stay in ambient mode. The only time it should time out like that is if it the watchis off your wrist and has been for an hour or so, then yes screen will power off, watch goes into sleep mode (bluetooth is disconnected) and seems to shutdown and go into coprocessor use. All of which makes sense when its off your wrist.

So depending on your settings, and if your watch is on your wrist and does this, you may have a sensor issue, and or are wearing your watch so loosely the contact sensor is determing your watch is off (and or its sensor isn’t working properly).

@nigel-taylor-0 i saw after some days that if I enable the airplane mode and just put the watch on desk, it switch off the display…honestly i don’t know how long it takes and which sensors it check but it’s ok👍

So I’ll try check for point n. 1 as you said (hr sensor) then just remain bluetooth sensors integration and battery improvements.

@drunners - that is correct - if you take off the wrist, display and bluetooth will switch off after 1hr - to save battery life. Don’t need to put it in plane mode - it will do it automatically.

@jamie-bg Its not loose, as I never have to re-unlock my screen.

                      Always-On Screen = OFF
                      Tilt to wake = OFF
                      Power Save Tilt = ON
                      Touch-to-Wake = OFF
For Navigation wrist gestures = OFF

The power-save tilt works 100% perfectly during the day (although MAYBE it seems to go to sleep and require a button press if I have long sleeves sometimes).

@nigel-taylor-0 - to get back from ambient screen you would need to press button, as you only have power save tilt on, so will only show you ambient screen when you tilt your wrist, assuming you are using a suunto power save watch face (which you have to as if not it will grey out that option).

I personally run AOD on (like to always see time like a old fashioned watch), tilt to wake off (move my wrist too much), Power save tilt off (as generally running a non suunto face), Touch to wake - on (rather do that than always have to press button).

I know I need to press a button to get from the ambient low-power screen to ‘fully active’ - that works fine and is just how I want it. I’m only using a Suunto face, so thats fine…and the tilt in NORMAL circumstances is so good that its fine for me to have a blank screen, which shows time only when I move arm to look at it. I find the display too bright and distracting at night time to leave AOD on.

What I’m saying is, in the night (or also seemingly under sleeves) - the tilt gesture itself often doesn’t work so I just have a BLANK screen no matter how much tilting I do.

Its almost like there’s a proximity sensor which decides that if the watch is covered then power tilt to get to the ambient ‘time only’ display shouldn’t happen.
