Poollenght

Hi to everybody, I have a Suunto 9 Baro, I have read the manual, but I would like to know if there is a way to adjust the pool length for the training “swimming in pool” to less then 15m. I have a pool from 10m and I don’t find any possibility to change it. The options show me a pool gut from 15m to 330m!! Who has a pool from 330m?
Do I miss something here? Wouldn’t it be better to have a pool length from 5m to 25m? I think this is a more common size of pool. Thank you for your feedback. -
Or let the user specify the distance. BTW maybe you want this post moved in the watch section, not the SA one.

@isazi thank for your reply, yes this would be perfect. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, thanks for doing this.

@jurgen1971 I regularly swim in a pool of 50m. That’s the Olympic size.
Now while I don’t see that the lower limit should be 15m - at a shorter pool one won’t be swimming anymore. If you push off of the wall and get to the other side without a stroke that won’t make much sense.
And maybe this is also the answer why Suunto put 15m as the lower limit: the recognition of a single lane would be difficult if it was too short and maybe not work reliably… -
I don’t understand. Why a predefined cap?
Just give me 4 digits for a length from 0000 m to 9999 m. I’m sure I can select the right pool length from that. This way you let the end user decide how to use the watch. It doesn’t care if it makes sense or not. If the pool length fits the users needs, the watch is useful for the user.

@surfboomerang that is not correct. See @Egika 's answer.
You cannot add a pool length of 1,2,3… 10m that is a bit silly.
10m could be debatable.

@Egika thank you for your answer. I still think it is useful to have the choice in pool length. I just do sports on a recreational base, not competitive. For me it is handy that I have a correct readout when I do a training. My pool is 10meters, so I put my watch on 20meters and after my training I edit my distance. But this sounds a bit awkward to do this with a high-end sport watch.

as the pool from the watch are counted (a few strokes, a few seconds after the push from the wall), I think it is impossible to correctly manage a 10m pool. (about 10 seconds between one wall and another)
However, customizing the length of a pool could be useful, above a certain size. A cousin of mine swim in a 46m swimming pool. I am so obsessive compulsive that I would never be able to swim by setting the length 50m

@Saketo-Nemo Have you ever thought about 50 yards (45.72 m)?
