@JANTIKAINEN okay, this happens sometimes, but I donโ€™t know why. And not in all groups. ๐Ÿค”

@isazi To be honest, I would have liked Suutno to provide a professional solution here. Altimeter is an essential function of an outdoor watch. The Altimeter Apps from Wear OS are real power eaters. Suuntoโ€™s in-house solution, for example, like the Baro 9, was much better for me personally.

@Stephan_74 In my opinion, Suunto should make their own suite of apps covering features like Sleep tracking, altimeter/barometer (storm alarm), sunset/sunrise alarms, compass, location/grid coordinates and of course enhance the Suunto sports tracker Wear app with navigation and support for external sensors.

@Stephan_74 me too, but currently itโ€™s not like this, and I am using the AppFour altimeter (although I donโ€™t like it).

SyncMyTracks is updated to sync to Suunto app directly. No need to use Sportstracker.

The missing ascent and descent is still the problem. The graph of the altitude is correct.

A problem of the Suunto app or Sportstracker.

Interesting for users who record activities with third party apps and want to import the results into the Suunto app. ๐Ÿ‘

@pilleus You could just sync to Movescount, which would automatically sync to Suunto. That seems to be a fairly stable route, though I havenโ€™t checked all stats. If I remember correctly, there was an issue with power data syncing at one pointโ€ฆ

So it means that Suunto App API is now available. Maybe QS will enable import to SA ๐Ÿ˜

Does not work for me. There was an initial transfer of the history, but no added activity is synced to Suunto app. In Suunto app Movescount is listed as connected and vice versa.

                      Any ideas? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

This connection with MC is not real connection but is saying : โ€œHey, you have imported your MC history, it is only once, but no new MC moves will be sent to SAโ€ ๐Ÿ™‚
The sync from MC to SA, is eventually done with connect MC to Sportstracker, but i think it is no more a good solution.

@Mff73 I assumed that. I just tried to import an activity recorded with the S7 and a third party app into Suunto app without loosing ascent and descent. But this is not possible. The same faulty import as it happens with Sportstracker. No good news. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Yep, I see the same. Maybe just Syncmytracks, but who knows. Syncmytracks only works with tcx or gpx, maybe lack of information in these files. Or just SA which needs Fit files with all ascent/descent header + extra data not in TCS files. I donโ€™t know.
I also extract one tcx file from SA. I obtain a 8Mo file where the same activity from MC is only 650Ko.

@Mff73 the upload from Ghostracer to Strava and the import in QS is working perfect. All data shown.

The problem is on the side of Sportstracker and Suunto app. ๐Ÿ˜•

Iโ€™d try to disconnect Movescount from Suunto and setup a connection again. I think I did it several times, though Iโ€™m not sure that disconnect ever happened. So, right now if I push anything to Movescount, it pops up in my Suunto app almost instantly. Unless thereโ€™s an activity with roughly the same timestamp in Suunto already.

@NickK now I connected Movescount additionally to SportsTracker and it seems that this was the solution. Import immediately and with ascent and descent. I try to figure out, which connection (Suunto or SportsTracker) is the working one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay guys, Iโ€™ll be out here for the future, because I sold my S7.

I found a WearOS watch which is much more fitting my needs (all dayโ€™s usage and sports, mountain biking, cycling, walking and kayaking with less battery usage and the same accuracy).

And for routes and the Polar H10 I have the Spartan Ultra Stealth Titanium and my old Ambit 3.

Have fun and keep moving! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
