Suunto 9 and POD foot mini?
-
Hello. I have a Suunto 9 cheater and I purchased a foot mini POD to record indoor activities. I tried several times to do the pairing … I also changed the battery (imagining that it was discharged even if the sensor is brand new). I don’t know what to try anymore. Isn’t that the POD is flawed?

@Nicola-Gravina Suunto 9 baro…pardon!
-
@Nicola-Gravina the pod is ANT+, and the S9 is only BT
-
@BKtoo I did not think about it. I was convinced that if ANT + … was also compatible with Bt … I will return it then …
-
@BKtoo But what if I want to use the S9 for indoor activities? Which motion sensor could I use? Of other brands I guess because I don’t see anything else about Suunto …
-
@Nicola-Gravina I’m using Stryd, is quite expensive though. But I’m sure there are other and cheaper Bluetooth footpods.
-
Cheap options include the now discontinued Adidas miCoach and the Milestone Pod (now bought by Zwift - so Zwift run pod)
-
My S9 is paired with a Stryd but on treadmill i don’t use it.
S9 works fine alone. Just think to make outdoor run with gps set to Best for sensor calibration. -
@Mi_chael But does the S9 reveal speed and cadence indoors without GPS on the tapir ruland, like the Polar Vantage V does?

It does - but as said before, it needs to calibrate your running style with GPS before.
Still results are mixed, because the watch needs to derive your speed from your arm movement… -
@Egika Then it uses the same system. Tonight I train on the tapirulant after a few runs already done outdoors. Let’s see how it will monitor.
-
Yes S9 show the speed and cadence with internal sensor.
For me speed on S9 is the same of my treadmill display. -
@Mi_chael very good!

@Mi_chael Verified! Perfect and thanks for the help
