      Hi,

      Since the last software update for my wife’s watch, the step counter isn’t working. Tried a couple of soft reset’s and a factory reset - any thoughts as to what the problem may be?

      Thanks

      J

        What do you mean ?
        Step count is wrong or it doesn’t count at all ?

        If soft reset doesn’t work, and you don’t want to try hard reset, I suggest to contact suunto support

          Step count is wrong - seems to be missing a lot of steps.

            @JAHANDERSON
            this is really the first time i read it! Normally the complaint is that the clock overestimates the steps ! 😊
            Have you done any tests? trying to deceive him, that is, swinging his wrist like in a walk, do you see the steps grow?

              @Saketo-Nemo yeah, it’s just unresponsive. Probably time to contact Suunto!

                  @JAHANDERSON Go to Settings - General - Personal and make sure Device position is correct. I believe this influences the step counting algorithm on Spartan Trainer.

                  SV: fingers crossed :D
                  S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
                  Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
                  Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!
