No GPS with new Phone
-
Hey everyone, I just got a new phone (POCO F2, Android 10) and my S3F does not seem to cooperate well with it such that GPS tracking is not working anymore. - I’m using biking / mountainbiking profiles
- Suunto app has all rights granted
- Phone notifies that the watch / app is accessing GPS
- GPS arrow symbol is green when starting the activity
- Watch is up-to-date (v 2.9.44)
Everything seems to be perfectly in order but still I’m not moving at all as far as the tracking is concerned. Might this be a known issue w/ the phone or Android 10? I’m at a loss. Regards,
 Alex.

did you test the POCO gps itself? I mean, with an android app…
-
Yes, Locus Maps or google maps for example are working fine.
-
Perhaps an idea to reboot the watch ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos guess I’ll try that next, thanks for the hint!

 @malitze
Watch unpaired from previous phone and repaired to new one ?
-
@Mff73 yes, I unpaired the previous app (connectivity settings > mobile app > forget). iirc this was necessary to pair with the new device anyway. Apart from the GPS itself syncing exercise data / HR data etc. works fine.

Might be a daft suggestion, but are there any background things affecting GPS like power-saving modes on the phone active?

Thanks for all your support and suggestions! Doing a soft reset actually did the trick.
