@Brad_Olwin great!!! didn’t notice!
I did a first test. Love the new firmware

Really no waypoint names?
The one that’s been finally fixed for S9 now happens to S7 -
Still waiting for auto stop.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in S7 Staged release:
@moe67er 1. Not via the suunto app
- Yes
“2. Yes” implies there is sleep tracking synced to SA. How to do this?
-
Does the S7 track swim drills/kicking?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in S7 Staged release:
@Maryn Always on is always there
Fused track, but that one is much better than the s9 , try it
Then possibly S9 firmware could be further tuned to improve its fused track results?
-
I tried S7 this morning with GPS in good condition and fused track, actually the result, comparing the track with S9, on the other wrist, is very good, congratulations to Suunto, great job.
-
GOOD JOB!
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos so here come the first bug:
I have tilt to wake enabled, start an excercise, stop it and delete the result.
Then tilt to wake is disabled -
@Egika reporting
-
@theorydude Nope.

New Features:
• Route navigation: Create your own route, use tracks from other services or select a popular trail in the Suunto app. Sync the route to your watch and start navigating.Tracks from other services…would that include “ride with gps, strava ?” and how to import these tracks ?
any suggestions ?thx

@Tom-Broekaert Get the GPX file
Wikiloc as of now supports direct sync…
You could also use my service quantified-self.io for drag and drop GPX upload under the services tab
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I’m on Ios, so no support to drag and drop a GPX file.
Same story on Wikiloc. Not supported for this moment, maybe there will be a future update to support this… -
It is possible though via Google drive (import GPX file, created at Ride with GPS)
-
I am confused. Our iOS app allows you to open GPX files or if you have them in iCloud it will offer to open them and import them.
WIKI loc under user settings allows you to connect to the suunto app.
Additionally you can convert any of your activities, friends, other popular activities to a route with the iOS app
-
@Tom-Broekaert I use iOS and I can import any GPX.
Make sure you have Suunto app enable in the sharesheet when you open the GPX file.
-
You’re right @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos.
My S7 and S9b works like that on my iOS SA beta. -
You are correct @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos but my icloud is disabled.
To import routes from the wikiloc app to SA you need premium…
But I managed to import GPX with google drive.
All in all good update from Suunto.Tom

@Tom-Broekaert I dont use icloud as well
