    S7 Staged release

This update brings new features and improvements to Suunto 7.

BIG NOTE: This release starts with a very few people and gets delivered up to 15 Sept for all

    New Features:

    • Route navigation: Create your own route, use tracks from other services or select a popular trail in the Suunto app. Sync the route to your watch and start navigating.
    • Low power always-on sport display: Your display stays awake all the time while you exercise, using only a minimal amount of battery. See all your training data without having to raise your wrist to activate the display.
    • Battery-saving GPS mode: By selecting “Good” location accuracy, your Suunto 7 consumes less power by acquiring location only every 10 seconds. When running or cycling, FusedTrack™ is used to improve tracking quality.
    • Popular starting points: Check out popular starting points in the Suunto app to find new starting points for your exercises. When synced from Suunto app to your watch, the popular starting points are visible on the heatmap on your watch as small dots.

    Enhancements and fixes:

    • Wear OS H-MR2 by Google, click here to read more.
    • Various other bug fixes, language translation improvements and performance optimizations
The following versions of Suunto components are included in the update:
    Suunto Wear app – 1.XXX.X
    Suunto Wear services – 1.XXX.X
    Suunto Watch faces – 1.X.X
    MDSP – 1.XX.XX

(I ll be updating the versions for you)

Yes! The display on is very handy. I can’t wait to test route navigation.

The images are so good. Kudos for Joaquin.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos With fused track? or with low power always-on sport display?

@Maryn Always on is always there 😉

Fused track, but that one is much better than the s9 , try it

I was thinking about this: )

" Low power always-on sport display: Your display stays awake all the time while you exercise, using only a minimal amount of battery. See all your training data without having to raise your wrist to activate the display."

Do we still have the tilt to wake option or has that been discareded for the low power always on display.
Is tilt to wake is still there - have they fixed it yet so that it when you switch it off it actually stays off?

@Jamie-BG Tilt to wake is still there. For the map there are two options, tilt to wake or always on. The latter uses much more battery. For the former, in ambient mode you do not see the map but when you tilt the wrist the map appears. Otherwise the screen is always on in the low power mode.

@Maryn Some notes: The max time I am seeing with route navigation on is about 7-8h using FusedTrack, with no route loaded as Dimitrios stated 15-18h. If the map always on is selected this will reduce battery life substantially.

                                        Just asking:

                                        1. Is it already/now possible to connect a hf-belt to the watch?
                                        2. Are steps and sleep tracking etc now accessible in Suunto App or only in Google Fit?
