Moveslink 2 stopped transfering data to my Ambit 3 yesterday, no moves uploading to Movescount and no setting changes downloaded to the watch. Suunto say use Suuntolink for this, it does not work on Windows 7. How am I supposed to use my Suunto Apps, they do not work in the dumb Android app, I cant see my mileage or number of steps for a move (I use Suunto Apps to count my steps as only cad is shown and I use metric height and an App to convert distance to miles) Will this be resolved? I have never come across a program that runs in Windows 8 but not in 7, it is crazy, do they want me to buy a new operating system to do what I have been happily doing for the last 6 years?

@caldirun It should (maybe work on win7 ) did you try it?

Win7 is no longer supported even by microsoft. If you still are using them you should be worried about privacy issues as there are tons of exploits out there.

If I recall correct (being an oSX user) the win10 upgrade is free

@caldirun Windows 7 is not supported anymore by Microsoft itself from January 2020, more than a year ago. I doubt Suunto will decide to support something that has been abandoned by its own developer.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos if I’m not mistaken Windows 10 upgrade was offered free for a short period of time after it was released. Not sure if it’s still free to upgrade. But this doesn’t change the fact that Windows 7 is not supported anymore by Microsoft. 🙂

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos hehe, if you are not using an open source OS I’m pretty sure you’re paying for it in some way, no matter how it is called (Windows or macOS). 🙂

@andré-faria on SuuntoLink download page it states that “Windows 8.1 or later” which can be a source of confusion.

I tried various ports, 2 cables and 2 watches, it does not work as V3.4.5, how can I download a previous version as the other poster has it working on Win 7, see his post

                              • Ambit (3,2,1) and Traverse family watches no longer sync exercises to Movescount web (syncing settings, sport mode customization, and routes still available).
                              • SuuntoLink replaces MovesLink2 as service connection to Suunto app.

We have put together guidance for all watches impacted by these changes, see below.
