Multisport mode

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos is there a way to modify the pre-defined triathlon mode to use pool swimming instead of open-water? I can’t find a way to do that (I quite new to the spartan model, though). However, this feature would be nice-to-have for variety of multi-sport activities (for example, to define duathlon in similar fashion)

@dkovarik Nope there is no way atm. IT was not designed for indoor swimming. There are quite a few people that have requested it though .

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I hope you will consider it, then. I think if you do a multi-sport training repeatedly, it deserves a chance to be defined as a standalone mode. But I could live with them. However, there are plenty of duathlon races and during the race, there is no time to browse through the sports mode selection

When using the Multisport mode, in the application SuuntoApp there is no division into stages by sprite views, in Movescount there is…

Yeah, some thing just get no love at Suunto’s…

Focus is on running. Other sports or multisports are under represented in the community.
I guess Suunto does evaluate the data from MC and gets their priorities from there.
But maybe it is a vicious cycle…

in Suunto current ones, no , BUT, some Suunto’s developpers might be athletes, AND should obey to some managero_marketingos people (I guess) (OR follow big list of development changes order)

Well, in fact you can on Suuntos too in some way, as you can switch between sports modes on the fly
Of course no way to set transition time nor to see details in SA

Guys, when in the race the score goes for tenths of a second, there is no time to change either - you will lose…: (it is very uncomfortable.
In Winter triathlon there are chespionates of the world!
In the software it was possible to make the race itself from the mode Multisport, now not.
Movescount shows all stages of a multi-sport race. in SuuntoApp is not present.

Totally with you. My remarks were just to say that developers are not obviously the root cause of this “lack” of multisport in Suunto’s world.

more than a year has passed, there are no changes! WINTER SOON, WINTER TRIATHLON! And nothing has changed - the winter triathlon mode cannot be done!.. :((((

I think I missed how to create a multisport mode did I oversee it in the manual AND in my SA sport mode setup?
Could you guys give me some assistance here?

There is no way you can create a multisport mode.

The logic is simple. Multisport is multisport. Not a sport. Its a combination of multiple sports (activities) into one greater activity with their respective summaries and one generic one.

So you can just change from sport A to B, C, D, …Z as you like. As many changes back and forth or whatever as you like.

You can create Sport A for multisport and sport B for multisport and switch between them at demand.
