Broadcast Heart Rate

Is there any of the Suunto watches that can broadcast heart rate measured by the wrist heart rate sensor? The S9P obviously doesn’t do it. Would be awesome.

@patrick-löffler bluetooth doesn’t work like this. There are 1 to 1 connections that previously needs pairing process, so new HW should needed. Garmin watches use ANT+ for that

@suzzlo Hm. Polar announced they will add heart rate broadcasting via Firmware Update to their Grit X and Vantage V2. So seems possible without HW change.

Broadcast via BT smart it’s (should be) possible, after pairing … the real question is “is it worth?”
I’m not sure about data accuracy and battery drain

@sartoric @Patrick-Löffler sorry guys, but broadcast and sharing with multiple devices is not exactly same thing.

What I see in Polar new implementation, is that you need to add the devices you want to share with https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2021/04/a-look-at-polars-new-heart-rate-broadcasting-for-apps-like-zwift-and-peloton.html

Anyway, sharing HR with multiple devices would be good, but I doubt Suunto will implement that, since is not implementing support for multiple sensors at the same time like Cadence Sensor + Speed Sensor (for bikes)

polar made something for team training, I don’t think suunto will make the same stuff, but for professional training polar is better.

Polar has HR belt for horses as well
