“Improved sync speed with Suunto app”
So, I had to use a different phone prior to this watch update, and when paired to my S9P, I had to go thru 61 activities and wait for them to be synced to SA, got the watch update, then yesterday switched phone again (got it repaired) and SA didn’t sync again like that, it went fast, is it related to this improvement in new watch update?Thx

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos well, I like that bug. I thought that it’s a nice new feature and really liked it - just touch the screen to light it up even when it’s “locked” .
I personaly hope, that this “bug”, turns out to be a “feature”… -
@nseslija ok now it works. Had two activities of 1,5 and a little below 2 hours. But now I had one over two hours and there’s a difference
-
@cosmecosta just had an activity of more than two hours and now I can see that the dots have a different size
-
Hi, does white background on watchface is natural as black for battery consumption?
-
@tomahawk5000 it should not affect battery life.
-
@cosmecosta try it at night
-
Really like the fat/ carb burner info
-
@wakarimasen I hope suunto will release a nutrition article that would explain how to take advantage of this s+ feature soonish.
-
Did I discover a bug? It seems that pool swimming activities show up correctly as swimming in the Suunto app. Though after syncing with Strava, it’s showing up as cycling with the auto pause/laps screwed up.
-
@theo-lakerveld if that happens you have removed the health data permissions from the Strava app
-
At this point we have so many Suunto plus that it would be nice the possibility to activate two of them at once
-
Hi all,
i have got a question:
I updatet my S9 yesterday to 2.18.18 and after syncing watch and phone/app, the suunto app tells me that there is an update for my watch. The provided link is
https://www.suunto.com/de-de/Support/Software-Updates/Versionshinweise/suunto-9-software-updates/
stating that 2.18.20 is available (since 28th of September, see screenshot form website above). I am a bit confused …? -
@matthiasklug yes you should be able to update to .20, it is a hotfix release for a bug in one of the watchfaces for the S9 only.
-
do I recall correctly: assuming I am a bit paranoid and think that the latest update drains my watches battery more than normal… the trick is to use the entire battery, charge completely and than do a restart?
-
In the tests I did after the last update today, I saw that the screen switching responses slowed down and got stuck. There is also an increase in battery consumption. Has anyone encountered these problems?
-
@isazi this is the first time ever I delay updating watch as long as possible. I really like that bug and I call it a feature. It is very convenient to lite up the watch just by tapping the screen. Much more than Rise to wake, which I disabled immediately.
Well, I know, different people, different taste… -

…looks like I’m not the only paranoid here
-
@zadow
…hang on… once upon a time double tapping to switch on the light was an official feature, no?
edit: but it was superseded with raise to light?!
…never used it, but that’s what I remember if my mind doesn’t trick me -
@freeheeler I always thought that letting the battery fully drain until the watch switches off and then recharge it to 100% (and some more minutes after that) should be suffice.
I’ll pay some more attention to the battery drain of my S9P, but until now I didn’t noticed anything unusual.
