@andré-faria It is a highly capable watch. Where I live, with large hills the GPS altitude did a great job. With smaller rolling hills it is less accurate. Battery life is fantastic and it is so light, you do not know it is there!

Maybe, I don’t have a way to test on large hills now.
Yes it is light but I am under the impression of being less confortable than the 9 peak ti.
A bit disappointed that I am still not getting accurate sleep measurements (go to bed time ) and still have the bug of 0% resources on middle of the day, same as I had in the 9 peak.
But maybe it is my specific case .and was not priority of Suunto to solve these issues (after I sold my S9Peak ti they launched some firmwares with good improvements , specially new algorithm for ascent/descent ) which is top.
The app is also improved and is pleasant to use.
And on running , the instant pace seems to be more accurate than my 945 LTE (the average values are somehow similar ).
If any suunto devs are interested in tracks with both devices let me know 🙂

@andré-faria experimenting with the resting HR solved it for me. If it’s too low your resources will drop fast and you would end up wit 0% in the afternoon, even when not doing exhausting activities. If it’s too high resources may be good but it will fail to recognise your fall asleep time correctly and you should lower it by one or two. There should be a sweet spot where you will find a good balance between ok resource tracking and correct sleep timing (mostly - sometimes sleep tracking fails anyway)

@chrisa my short tip, find your average sleep HR and then add 10 has your personal resting HR.

I have been comparing S9P and Garmin 745 during 2 weeks checking Resources vs Body battery, and this configuration has result has the best to match both watches with my personal feeling

@suzzlo how are you adjusting that on the FR745 cause as far as I am aware that is all automated and you can’t change it. you can only change your HR zones.

@jamie-bg I’m not adjusting on Garmin eco, since I think it works automatically and it seems to be ok. The adjustment is on S9P

Good input, maybe it can give suunto devs some hint.

@suzzlo ok - that makes more sense using the FR745 as standard to get the S9 tweaked. Ok.

@suzzlo yes that’s pretty much my value too 8-10 beats above average sleeping HR.

@chrisa @Jamie-BG if it was calculated and updated automatically by the watch it will be perfect

One question that I cannot find clearly on my S5P. Is there an option to turn off the watch?
Normally I only wear the watch during my runs or other activities… I would like to just shut it off between the activities to keep battery level etc.

Is that an option for the S5P?

@arnie82 No, but you do not need to turn it off. If you set it down on a table/desk, the battery will last a very long time.

@brad_olwin Understood… That’s the hibernation mode as explained in the manual I assume. Thanks for your prompt reply!

Hello, could someone take some photos of the S5P VS S9PP with the same screens (time / activities / etc.) so that I can realize the difference in size between the two screens (1.1p vs 1.2p), thank you
