Hello, could someone take some photos of the S5P VS S9PP with the same screens (time / activities / etc.) so that I can realize the difference in size between the two screens (1.1p vs 1.2p), thank you

@surfboomerang I do not know for the S9PP but my son’s S5P has this bug as well, at 96% starts to beep and connect/disconnect from charging, if you unplug it the watch will automatically say that is 100% charged, so I think is a software bug. BTW I’m pretty surprised how well performs the S5P, despite its differences with the S9B, I’m also surprised with the readability of the screen.

Maybe a hiccup with the update systems, lots of users updating in the past two weeks. Have a nice weekend and enjoy your new watches!

@chrisa said in Battery and navigation: @brad_olwin thanks that’s awesome. Will have a longer hike in August (around 12h) so everything should be fine . Using GPS and heart rate for your trip should probably use about 50% of the battery with the other power saving mode enabled. I use power saving mode and airplane mode when just wearing the watch, you’ll need to turn them off to sync.

@muerte334422 Glad it at least mostly started working again! Warranty time is usually 2 years.

@Tomas5 it’ll continue measuring even if motionless in the time window specified as sleep time.

@egika Looks nice, my wife still wears S3 and it looks to big on her wrists. After wearing S5P for a week it is very ackward to wear a bigger watch like S9B let alone A3P

@vincent-mayousse keep us posted because this is interesting, if something like that happens again Suunto should know.

@Viacheslav-Myronov I don’t know details, but to avoid any illusion: I remember I started asking for lock buttons in watch mode late 2019… there was no lock implemented ever since. when the S9P was released, with the improved buttons, smaller watch body and smaller buttons, the urgent need for a lock was removed. only very unlucky movements cause unwanted button press. when would a lock be useful? e.g. when you stop an activity and you’re still in the water, shower, it’s raining etc… to avoid the watch getting a mad cow disease… but it seems a rare case and low to no priority …but I know how you feel! my watch made it to DND on/off and other features including going to start activity screen etc … it’s a pain, but I got used to it

@Pedro-Marques Try turning Standby off. Standby is low level backlight always on. With Standby ona button press is required for the strong backlight I believe. And I would contact support.

Just one more thing - in my first post I wrote that this issue does not exist for the ‘cycling’ mode. Unfortunately this was NOT true - all the training modes which I have tried so far, including cycling, seem to be affected.

@Mahyar hm. this is strange. I remember having similar issues with a test firmware using an iphone SE as well. If I remember correctly, I restarted the phone and after some (or many) tries, I finally managed to upload. Since then it has been all smooth again.

Despite it being opaque and quite simple, it actually helped me get started on my “sportive” journey few years back with the S5. It hooked me into a plan to follow and I’ve been active ever since.

@ADidier I remember that the standard price of S5P when released was €300 in my country. And this is for a watch without baro and compass. Maybe you can find a deal for ~€350 for a new 9pp which is relatively new device?

@Todd-Danielczyk this was definitely a harsh introduction. But I’m feeling better today with everything working as it should. For now I’m trying to learn cause it’s so much different then Garmin.
