Futsal - not existing as predefined sport?

Hello,

I regularly play floorball and futsal (indoor football). I use floorball from predefined (basic) sports in my Suunto 5, but I can’t find and select futsal, only to add manual record. Did I miss something? I know I can create my own sport mode, only wonder why floorball is there (and it works fine) but no futsal.

I tried to search around here but didn’t find any similar topic. Also always keeping my watch updated.

jep, there are 80 predefined sport modes… some sport modes are not there by default… e.g. telemark skitouring isn’t… snowboard touring either, same with pumptrack skateboarding, gaelic football, kite foil, wing foil, e-mtb, mtb freeride etc… there are simply too many sports or sub-sports to meet all our wishes

@vlastimil-vykus You can always use the “Other” sport mode (I just noticed it’s still called “Other6” in the list. )

@vlastimil-vykus yes, true, I usually record basketball on the watch and then change sport to futsal in the app

Well ok guys, I got it. I can imagine how many cheerleaders will use their watch to track cheerleading activity But still I think that futsal is too popular to be ignored. And since it is available in manual sport list, why only this sport is missing in watch? Not like other sports. I can live with that but seems like a bug for me.

@surfboomerang didn’t know that either - funny and interesting what local sports exist. In Bavaria we have a local “martial art” / strength competition called :

Fingerhakeln

which Isn’t in the Suunto sports profiles either

that is really true and very impressive how people in different locations developed sports to compete and entertain themselves…

@freeheeler hell, they throw this “Unspunnenstein” which is 83 kgs over 4m! Didn’t know that. But it clearly shows that “sports” and competition are deeply rooted in mankind (and if you look on certain animals it’s even there)

Hello,

Yes, floorball is included as a predefined sport mode but, unfortunately, futsal is not available by default. However, you can create a custom sport mode for futsal through the Suunto app, which will allow you to tailor the settings to your specific needs.
