      Hi,

I have the same issue with 2.20.30

Not sure if it was related to me not wearing the watch, but before the firmware update I could wear it for more than a week, then I noticed that it lost more than 30% in one day without any activity at all from my side. I don’t have sleep tracking enabled.

I have noted down the battery level for today and will see how it evolves over the next days and report back.

Will this be fixed in a new firmware?
      Thanks

did you empty the battery, fully charge the watch and then do a 12s soft reset?

Just as a reminder, a couple of days after the last firmware update my S9B got stuck on a black screen, and I had to soft reset it. Not a problem at all (it hasn’t resurfaced) but after the soft reset I experienced tremendous battery drain during the day, but none during night, and also non in battery saving mode (when the watch is on its last %) . Turned out that somehow (probably when I was trying to solve the black screen issue) illumination was set to always on. Sometimes the solution is rather obvious, duh.

big battery drain until 2.20.30 (running 2h with 14% battery down) and no more WHR (because tattooed on both wrists)… unbelievable disaster work in 2022 from suunto.

                @set_218 Sorry, I can’t confirm.

1 week since last charge, with 4 hrs of windsurfing and 3 hrs of running, and the watch is down to 51%

similar here… no wind, no surfin… but battery in a 3 year old watch is within reason 👍

I did not yet do the soft reset. I will do when it reaches 0% then and I charge it to the 100%.
Also the backlight is turned off.

I did go running this afternoon and the battery dropped down 10% for a 1:38 run. I never really paid attention before how much energy a run would take, but it feels much higher than before.

no. also with the 2.20.30 update the battery status is a disaster. like the first big update years ago on the spartan series.

load the S9P on 99% yesterday 5pm. no sports or activity. just wearing it 24/7 with whr + sleep counter. Now -> 86%

Let it dry out of battery and charge full.

Usually it should waste 20% per day max with backlight on (adaptive) many notifications and all 24/7 tracking on

Consumption per hour of gps + whr should be around 4%

                                Hi,

I wrote before that my backlight was not on, but this was wrong. I just didn’t see it as it was set to low.The update must have changed my backlight settings. I turned the backlight off and the battery usage seems to have returned to normal usage

                                Thanks everyone for their help

It just work now after full reload and reset. (MusicControl and Notification off) …
But the whr with my tattooed arm don‘t work anymore since the Update.

@set_218 Suunto is investigating the tattoo issue, hopefully they’ll find a solution.

thanks for the info. it is really disappointed, because i have tested with different watches and my girlfriend.

my S9P dont work with the 2.20.30 on my tattooed wrist, but it works on her wrist without any tattoo. same story with her S9P on my wrist... dont work.

But my old S9Baro without the new firmware works on my wrist… that is my output about this story…
