      Excerpt from the review (emphasis mine):

      In the one 50k race I wore the watch for, the 9 Peak Pro showed 30.88 miles — the course’s official site says the race is 31.6 miles, and on Strava the racers registered distances between 30.1 and 30.3 miles. It clearly calculated an acceptable and reliable range.

      Did you want to write 30.3 or 31.3?

        @isazi 30.3 miles is correct. The 9PP was in the middle of the official course measurement and what people’s Strava was showing. None of the Stravas showed higher than 30.3.

        Edit: I’m not on Strava, so I could only see the Strava results that were marked as public and accessible without an account. My sampling list was 4 results over the past three races.

            @TrailEyes So I just finished reading your review and I agree on most points, I didn’t use the 9 Baro and the comparison with the 9PP was very interesting especially the improvements on GPS accuracy. I would prefer a 1.3 screen too.

            Just one quick note, you can enable the touchscreen for activities if you use the custom battery profile.

            Great review, thanks for sharing.

              @TrailEyes , very nice review !
              I am a S9B happy user and don’t miss lot of things…
              Size matter to me : I bought a S9p for my wife, that fits her perfectly, but really to small for me ! => I will wait for the next “big” watch 😇
              Like you I use a lot the sleeping tracking, so I hope it will be as good as it is on the S9b in the future.
              Very noticable improved gps precision with the S9pp :That’s is the only point that “disapoints” me a little with the S9b, in comparison with my previous A3P. Also I mostly miss a precise instant pace : it was really precise with the A3P, but I never had something reliable with my S9B => can you tell how it is with the S9PP ?

                @Tieutieu The question is how long do we have to wait for the next big watch? I have doubts…buy the 9PP now or a cheaper 9 baro and later the next big watch…(2023) 🤔😆

                  @Ultrawalker : whatever the watch you’re using now, If you were able to wait to buy a new one until now, I woul’d definetly wait for the next “big one” 😊

                      Adding another new review to this thread, this one from Trailrunnermag.com. They say:

                      “Suunto’s update to its popular Suunto 9 family knocks it out of the park with the new 9 Peak Pro, a sleek multisport smartwatch with an extended battery life and robust new features. It might be our favorite watch in the game right now.”

                        @TrailEyes have you tested the S9PP in open water swimming? GPS performance so far is particularly poor… loses around 20% of actual measured distance

                          @freddubai true, it is not yet good for swimming. I do not swim, but I know that in the next release the GPS firmware is updated and the changelog says that there are improvement for swimming.

                            @freddubai No, I didn’t have the opportunity to use the 9PP during any kind of water-related activities.
