Current draw drecreases while charging?

Sometimes I’m using a powerbank to charge my S9P and when it reaches 88% the powerbank turns off automatically. The powerbank “officially” turns off when the connected device has a small current draw. So, the question is, does the current draw decreases as the watch get charged and reaches a certain level? So far, I don’t have issues with other devices.

That’s how it works on all the “smart” charging device or how “smart” chargers handle it in general.

So some power bank let you turning it on “manually” to charge also devices with low current draw

@Panagiotis-Kritikakos yeah my Anker powebank has this feature. But for the sake of it 88% is ok. Dong go to 100% too often
