I’m just not clear why bug fixes and improvements to existing product software have to be delayed for months to be timed with the launch of a new product. You can separate those out. We did that all the time at Garmin when I worked there, though not on watches. I’d just prefer to see more active, regular, software updates.

I recall that a critical bug was solved recently with a firmware update spontaneously, also thanks to the support of helpful forum users -

@Bulkan I speculate he tried the new Suunto coach with the new watch. Just check his training load and the variety of sports. Also taken from the context: ‘except for workouts I’ve done with a Suunto device’
What Suunto device? If it was already available I think he would have mentioned it, no? Therefore once released he’ll publish his review. -

Garmin: You can download FW updates and synchronise your watch with Garmin Connect (upload activities, download tracks etc.)
Coros: Download maps (with the upcoming FW update) and FW updates
