speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches
-
@seanvk It’s unclear if this new device will be part of the Suunto 9 range or is new Suunto model.
-
@DMytro Isn’t it too early now for a SP5Peak successor?
-
@Highlands now it surely is too early, but maybe in a year? I’m mostly curious if it will inherit the new processor and UI or will it be like the legacy watches.
-
Should be used for sleep quality and for resources… but it’s a rather bad thing (data-quality-wise) to do during an activity, last I know.
Just think of the trouble oHR has simply getting HR right, then imagine having to get even fainter signals. -
@DMytro Maybe a S5P successor will target the successor of Coros Pace 2? So, it shouldn’t be like the legacy watches.
-
@Highlands if they create a new line… Perhaps they can bring all different market segments at the same time…
-
@suzzlo How many models in a supposedly new line?
-
French reseller listed with solar
-
@Highlands Agree. I think the current 5 Peak, with the MSRP recently dropped to match the Pace 2, is definitely being positioned as a competitor, so it makes sense that future iterations will vie to continue to stay competitive.
I can envision that budget level of wearables getting more and more cool features sooner rather than later across all brands.

@zhang965 link?
-
@suuntastic +1
-
Based on a cache I have seen, MRP 599 euros in Germany and will have maps. Not sure if this is titanium or not.
-
@altcmd What do we know so far:
- maps
- multiband
- solar
Looks like I’ll buy it.
What else do we know about the watch?
-
@Highlands and price
-
I have at least seen 1 website where I can already buy it.
-
The bezel is still a bit too prominent, IMO.
-
@altcmd Could you share a link of the website? The bezel doesn’t bother me. The watch looks very good imo.
-
@Highlands 48,8 mm case?
So i think 1,3 inch screen? -
@altcmd I did see one cache with titanium that had a higher price. So assume the one you saw will be steel.
-
@Ultrawalker I’m ok with the size. I like it.
