The response I got when I emailed about this :
Dear Paul
I hope you are well.
I have forwarded your feedback and queries to our development team so they can be assessed internally and I do thank you for bringing them to our attention.
We will definitely have updates and upgrades in the future however we do not have a clear roadmap outlined for this at this time.
Updates are hard to predict as sometimes whats necessary will take importance of an upgrade or new feature so timelines are hard to know especially this early on. But they are inevitable so we hope to get to all the features you have advised on.
If we get any new info regarding this we will update you for further clarification.

@runomatic so Community, whats up? Since July all people speak from big coming SW update for the Vertical… Should come in November!? Guys 1/3 from November is ready… Whats going on? November 2024?

@GiPFELKiND Well lets hope it will come soon but in general it is better if the software is as bug free as possible when it comes out rather then being rushed to market.

@Tieutieu DC Rainmaker vient de poster le test de la Suunto race, en annonçant une mise a jour pour celle-ci LUNDI ( 13 nov)… avec un peu de chance, la mise a jour de la Vertical arrive dans le même wagon ! espoir !!!

Seems that Suunto Race is getting update on Monday according DC Rainmaker review which came today. I have high hopes that we will get update to Vertical same time

As long as the vertical is supposed to get the same (or close) firmware than the race, I would more likely bet that they wait for the first RACE users feedbacks.
This way they could correct maybe few bugs on the Race and have a better vertical fw release !Maybe I was not so wrong telling this !
