Other than the two pop up notifications. On my Suunto 9 this was possible from the map screen. How is this done on the vertical?

@fritzbt2013 I believe this should be improved. But for now, if you press the lower button in the map, and scroll down to “details”, do you not find that information there?

@isazi no not there unfortunately … for the suunto 9 it would roll across the top of the map menu after you hit down. The vertical does not do this… the details section provides high level data only and is the same for both.

Hopefully this is something that can be improved soon. Arguably the 9 implementation was not ideal, but at least I had the info available if I missed the notification. Ideally there is a dedicated page like the notification that I can refer to when desired or perhaps a data field that I can set Or perhaps a map menu option that shows the waypoint notification.

I have a Vertical, and would also very much like to see a table or list of the upcoming Waypoints on a separate sceen. Currently I have no idea what the next waypoint is if I miss the notification! Unless I’ve missed something?

The list should be on a separate screen, showing each waypoint in order and their distance away. I’d like to be able to scroll down this list. I’d also like to be able to configure this table in the sport mode customisation tool within Suunto App.

@LitchiMonster good idea but I prefer scrolling down to see the next waypoint list. because press next page to see the list need to press few more button back to the navigation route which is very slow. not everyone use touch screen to swipe the screen back to the navigation route.

@babychai agreed it should be optional. If you want the waypoint list display, it should be added to the sport mode via the Suunto app Custom Sport Mode tool. There’s already a display there you can add under ‘Columns’ called ‘Lap Table’. They should add a display for ‘upcoming way points’, similar to the ‘Lap Table’ display. We can always hope! Hope is what drives us Suunto users 😉

@LitchiMonster yup i know the Lap Table. currently i replace it with Remaining Distance to POI, Remaining Distance to end of route etc.
Hope Suunto will implement it soon 🤗

@LitchiMonster This would be fantastic as well. I have asked for this from Suunto as well!

I think configurate data field(s) are preferred here so everyone can configure it to their needs. Perhaps with some kind if caroussel mode to avoid takeing up too much map space…

During trailrunning, I use the map a lot to follow a route but I have no other metrics in sight. I always have to switch to the next screen and then all the way back to the map which is not very convenient. Especially now the touch sceen functions as pan option in the map instead of switching screens back and forth.
