@rudi-corinna As was advised to me earlier you need to open it via your phone… it opens in the app
How on the phone? I did the update on Play store Suunto beta app, but I don’t see upgrade offer on watch or app…what next to do?

Seems I found it…slow download…optimistic it will work…

Wow! Widgets are much brighter, weather widget is a nice addition…

Bugs
WORKOUT PRE
Screen goes black when returning from the workout screen without launching the workout. Pressing the lower button goes back to watchface ok, it doesn’t hang the watch.WIDGET
Compass widget: Touch doesn’t work after scrolling down to options. Pressing the top button gets back to the compass screen and then touch works again.WIDGET
Weather widget air quality description cuts off abruptly when level 4 is being displayed.Opinions / requests
WEATHER WIDGET
This is awesome and very useful. However, it would be great if there was a really short approximation of the weather for the next 3 days, and a UV index apart from AQI.HAPTICS
Loud vibrations outside of workout mode are sadly still a thing (it should be possible to adjust low / high in settings, ideally separately for workout and outside of workout). In general
This beta feels, looks and works way better than the day-1 stable version. It shouldn’t take that long to polish a firmware to a release state. Certain bugs, ie. related to very poor performance when switching screens during workout or watch returning to 1st screen when leaving the pause should have been addressed quicker. As I’ve said before - new features are awesome, but can wait. What can’t wait is what is being advertised as a feature on day-1.
Having said that - the performance and snappiness feels even better in workout mode then outside of it with this beta. This is a very welcome change and is good to see that the workout actually starts when pressing the middle button and not after a few second delay. This is impressive even considering two S+ apps and bunch of data heavy screens and route loaded. Well done!
Widgets look and behave way more like a finished product than a proof of concept. Adding contextual settings at the bottom of some widgets is good design too!
It’s cool to see that rise to wake no longer has to bleed my eyes. I’d love to see low / mid / high vibration setting too. I think that good haptics are important and a matter of preference just like backlight brightness.
Oh, and finally, pre-workout screen remembering previous settings. Lack of it was insanity inducing.

I wonder the bug “watch freezes while saving activity” is fixed in this beta… not sure if I want to install it…
-
Suunto 9 Peak Pro - Please bring back the rasise to wake only in the workouts
-
@jthomi I realize this is a different watch but the Vertical updated with today’s new firmware saved a two hour activity the fastest that I’ve seen yet.
-
I have installed the Beta on my S9B (Spain)
On my S9B the guides screen always appears in dark mode (intervals and guides from the suunto app) Additionally, the “target” text, icons, and lap counter have disappeared from the Guides screen.
It happens to someone else?

I updated yesterday to the available beta and this morning it offers me a new one S9P v. 2.26.8.8934, is that ok?
hmmm the morning barley coffee almost always solves the hitch: if you use the update link again it offers the update even if it is already up to date, so I suppose it’s the same version sorry!

@gi0vanni iOS ?

-
@Igor-Martić yes you need premium for the app to show up.

Hi guys!
First impression of FW 2.26.8 for S9B:
Unfortunately, I still have the bug from some S+ apps (described in detail here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SuuntoAmbit/permalink/6243466492412028/).
In short: the “aerobic decoupling” app only works after a soft reset. This is also the case with other apps (e.g. Loop)The readability of the screen is better, although it was good for me personally beforehand.
I haven’t been able to test more yet.
Best regards -

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos in the future, I think, you need to add another column: ‘don’t know/not sure/haven’t tested/hard to say’.
Otherwise it’s difficult not to skew the data you gather in the survey -
@cosme-costa I just found that too, it’s annoying not being able to have raise to wake for exercise. You can turn it off completely if you want to, go to settings-general- backlight- raise to wake. That turns it off in exercise too.
-
@Jonah15 but tbh, since RTW was made usable, a year ago or so, I loved to use it in late evening workouts, which don’t yet warrant constant backlight, but definitely benefit from RTW. Real pitty that I have to use it in daily mode too.

@DMytro I’m the same I don’t want it on all the time, just when I exercise, for the dark mornings.
