Anyway some bugs are still there

Sooooo 2.27.8 has been released today publicly. Does it mean that all bugs we’ve been writing about here were not polished and the version is exactly the same as in beta?

for now yes. That is as feedback from the survey you answered.

I really doubt that “bugged” beta = official
After updating the S9PP (OP asked for this model) with the above “beta” fw, I no longer received any update so I assume “beta” matches final. Correct me if I’m wrong.
-
@gi0vanni you are correct, for the watches that got positive beta feedback the beta has been released to the public as production. For the watches with crashes, not.
-
@isazi I had two crashes with S9 non-baro and beta was released as production Well, two in “beta stage”, another one after that…
-
I’ve seen bugs in 9PP and reported them but they were not critical (didn’t crash the watch). Considering overall performance improvements - I’d take this beta over last stable any time.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel Yeah, S9PP got a load of new things… Well, when it comes to my S9, I had many crashes with 2.23.20 firmware. I would even say like in 5% of activities… That was solved with 2.23.24 which was perfectly stable for me… Now, with 2.26.8, crashes are back (3 crashes out of 20 activites so far)…
-
@inkognito sorry to hear that. It’s super unfortunate. Have you thought about downgrading.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel Every single day. But first I want to provide more logs for Suunto developers
-
@inkognito ask them for spare S9 for testing
-
Well, I could only image the frustration of Suunto 9PP users which used this watch for Snorkeling, what Suunto did is basically just messed up their activity profile. Let’s wait and see how long it will take them to fix this. Also for me personally removing the raise to wake during activity only is not understandable.
-
Kudos for releasing these. Hopefully there’s more to come in the future!
-
@inkognito Hi! May I ask if you know how to down grade to 2.23.24 for S9B. I installed the official production version 2.26.8, and interested to go back to 2.23.24.

@steam
I know… https://forum.suunto.com/post/113932
but may I ask if you have issues with the latest firmware? it would be helpful if you report and log them -
Has anyone had the 9PP storm alarm go off since the update?
I’ve had a bunch of storms over the last few days here but it hasn’t triggered the alarm on mine. Alarm is on. I’m aware that the pressure drop profile can often be too gentle for the alarm to trigger but this has happened over multiple storms and the profile has been pretty sharp on many.
Just curious.

@Umer-Javed same here

Same experience as yours.

One more thing to add. IMO when the watch stands still it should never switch to the altimeter at all. In the last few days we have had several bad weather fronts and on many occasions the watch has updated the altitude despite having left it on the bedside table (and never used SA). I see that this behavior is more common on S9PP than on S9P but I could be wrong on this.
-
Anyone else having this bug on the S9PP? Happens from time to time, sometimes three are “invisible”, sometimes only two.
-
@jthomi Same with my 9pp. Also, for me the lag seems to be still in place. Initially, after I updated my watch the lag when starting an activity seemed less annoying for me but eventually, lag in its full beauty came back. A friend here in the forum suggested to me to factory reset the watch and that would solve it. I haven’t done it yet cause I don’t have the time to deal with factory resets.

@Highlands it’s another beta after all…
