service
how does one actually contact service? There is no email, no form and no option anymore in the suunto app. Chat on the website isnt available either, allthough they are stating: âWe are available for your questions on the chat from Monday to Friday, from 5 PM AEST to 5 AM AEST.â
-
@Renzo-Karsdorp for the chat I got the issues of the bubble not appearing, Its when Iâm using firefox, or with script/adblockers, but when Iâm on edge no problem
-
@Renzo-Karsdorp if you need a online service request see here.
yep chat doesnotwork right now,do not know why(I am able to open a chat but then service doesnât respond.it takes a while to get online) -

I sent back (for the second time) my 9 peak pro, this time I was very pleasantly surprised, the DHL dude came to pick up my watch at 2pm last Friday and I got it back this Tuesday at 9am (from France, to Prague, back to France), only 5 days including weekend and shipping, thatâs just awesome ! Especially compared to the 3+ weeks it took last time !
Now fingers crossed and letâs hope that Suunto sorted this problem and I wonât have to sent it a third time -
wellâŠrepairs lasted 3 months, now I have submitted a new service request for the same problem.
-
@Renzo-Karsdorp oh that sucks
, for me it seems that the last repair (late june) is still holding up, the sensor is absolutely bubble less since 3 months
-
Last week I sent my peak 9 pro to Lubiana for assistance (covered by warranty).
I receive it back afert 7 working days, they chenged the watch cover but I losted my personalization. -
Do we know if suunto addressed this issue in newer models like Race/Race S/Run ? Did suunto changed material of sensor cover? Did they found out cause of this problem? Wrong material choice or bad manufacturing process?
-
@Tomas5 Using the Race S since 10 month for running, hiking, swimming and xc skiing. No bubbles so far
-
@Tomas5 The bubbles issue doesnât occur on every watch. Back in Feb â23 bought a 9PP - zero bubbles so far. Bought the Race in Nov â23 - beginning of April â25 got it replaced by Suunto repair center with a new one due to a problem with the digital dial - no bubbles on both Races. End of March â25 bough a Vertical, still zero bubbles. I guess Iâve been lucky.
Which Suunto are you buying? Good luck with your potential purchase. -
@Tomas5 You could guess that since this topic wasnât updated at all in the last 8 month, that the problem got sorted out.
Yes, it would have been nice to know the cause, but since the sensor is supplied by another company, my bet is that even Suunto didnât fully know what was happening. -
@Highlands yes i know that it is not with every watch, i hope it is just small amount of deffective units. Thats why i asked if someone know if suunto identified and correctly addressed issue or they just ignore it and do replacement when needed. Donât buying right now but my wifes S5 got bubbles and it is out of warranty already som thats reason i started to read about this issue.
-
@Elipsus hope so, but for example to my wifes watch was without issue for more than two years, already few days back we realised that it creating bubbles. It is around 30months from buying. So 8 months is just not enough to know if Race S for example will be without this issue.
-
@Tomas5 I donât expect to see Suunto share such information publicly.
Try contacting Suunto Support and see what solution they can offer for a device out of warranty. They might come up with a solution. Good luck -
@Tomas5 This has been fixed. It is no longer an issue.
-
@Brad_Olwin thank you, great news
-
@Tomas5 Itâs certainly not just a small series of watches, as the problem also occurs in the Suunto Vertical, several years after the 9PP.
This concerns production at the factory in Finland and its supposedly high quality compared to Chinese factories. But the facts seem to suggest otherwise.
-
@maszop âseveral yearsâ, the 9 peak pro cam in october 2022, while the Vertical came in may 2023, thatâs 8 months, not several year
Also, the sensor is provided by LifeQ, not manufactured by Suunto, thus the country of origin of the watch doesnât matter.
if thatâs a troll, its a bad one, and if its not a troll, you gotta really start using Google.
