Different questions on latest TW S9PP. Weather and Voice Feedback

Ok, two basic questions.
(1) Weather sync. As I understood from other posts, weather widget is updated from time to time, with no need to manual sync (ie, without opening the App and syncing). Should it work that way? In my case, the widget seems to update only after syncing the App.
(2) Voice feedback. It seems very inconsistent in my case. I managed to have it working at least a couple of times. Both cases using headphones. Despite having it active, however, it do no longer have voice feedback. I have tested it with the phen in my hand to see if it could be me not hearing the announcement, but it was not the case. Should I have the App running in the phone (I do not see that config useful, tbh).
In my case, iOS latest beta installed (Suunto App has active background update configuration). Latest FW in the watch.

@Efejota it sounds like some battery optimization issues, so that the watch is unable to connect to phone often enough. Or the phone is killing the app.
I’m on android but the weather widget syncs usually once per hour and while I’ve tested voice feedback (once), it worked fine.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel Thanks for the hint. In the App settings (in iOS) I changed location to always (not when using the app) and now it seems to work. Easy to understand: it is impossible to update the weather if the location is unknown. @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos: it might be maybe useful to remind that in the manual if it is not present.
