Questions about Ressourcen Monitor from 18 to 60 suddenly

This morning I start my day with 70% resources. I went for a run at 05:30 this morning and after that my battery was at 30% and went down to under 18% in the coming hours. I then take a leisurely walk with my Family, 2 hours. Then when I got home, my vertical suddenly showed more than 60% again… suunto what’s going on here. could that be? please look at the picture, think about it and please explain to me how that can be. how exactly does Suunto calculate all this? Who knows about the team and can give a well-founded and accurate answer on this? does anyone else have such strange values on the clock?

@GiPFELKiND I will respond here. Not sure how your resources got back to 60%, the only thing I could see is that your HR got back to being low. Anyway, the Firstbeat resources will be replaced by something else before the end of the year, so bug reports on this algorithm are not being forwarded.

No never a Garmin
i am so happy since 2001 with suunto, i had my first Diving Computer, then so much GPS Multisport watches from SUUNTO. All worked fine 
but actually to much bugs with the new vertical. -

@GiPFELKiND how does the corresponding HR graph during this time period look like?
Did you put the watch on the charger?As isazi mentioned, currently Suunto is looking to replace the Firstbeat algorithm used here by a better one. I have so far not been looking at the resources calculated from my watch, but with the new algorithm this gets more interesting.

@Egika please tell me how it would be possible to charge the watch and get a heart rate at the same time? I cannot wear my watch when charging it… and my charge does not have any heart rate…

@GiPFELKiND the resources jumps (up and down) are discussed here quite often and they’re not really reliable when you look at them in short time intervalls, like a single day. In the long run, they pretty much fit my personal feeling. But afaik no one at Suunto can look deeper in how the resources work, since they are Firstbeat „stuff“. I found that I can raise them significantly (about +20% ) while meditating for 30 to 60 minutes and there my HR drops to sleeplike values, so my guess is, that sudden changes in HR will influence such highs in resources .
