This isn’t due to android - you can do this with most other brands of smartwatches connected to android.@Tomas5
It may be related to the specific app you are using. The app notification has to have the necessary API built into it to allow that functionality - and of course the suunto app & watch need to be able to take advantage of it.
(note based on Epix/Connect & Android) Some apps are really good in terms of the API features they offer within the notification i.e. using android phone app as default I can not only answer / reject calls (with message), but once answered I can trigger the loudspeaker. But can’t do that with some of other call apps I have (as they haven’t included that within the API). For example when I get a package notification from Amazon, I get an option to track it when I get the notification on my watch - when selecting that it automatically opens the amazon app on my phone and takes it straight to that page (so all I have to do is just unlock my phone to see the status).
Have noticed some little tweaks like this all over the place i.e. whatsapp offers marks as read, yet google messages doesn’t even offer it. -
@Jamie-BG i checked garmin watch and it looks like it is possible to answer call with it, i don’t have one so i only read reviews online. Than i really don’t understand why it is working with suunto app on iOS but not on Android.

This should be possible at last on Android and default phone app. And it would be an awesome feature - especially with being able to toggle the loudspeaker / volume and be able to reject the call with one of the defined messages.

'which app? maybe its built into iOS app notifications and not android app notifications. Can maybe try and check for you depending on the app. -
@Jamie-BG i don’t understand what you mean. Suunto 5 peak paired with Android Phone (Samsung) and official Suunto App. Watch shows notification that there is someone calling. But it doesn’t offer possibility to accept / reject.
On my Suunto 5 paired with iPhone with official Suunto App. It shows notfication that someone is calling and it allows to accept/reject call.

the phone app that you are using - if its the default one the samsung came with it means you are using the samsung phone call app and not android’s phone call app (probably also samsung contacts and not google contacts). you have to manually change these defaults - a PITA - and one of the reasons I prefer not to use samsung. You could try changing your default to android phone to test. If it works then you can then decide if you want to move your contacts across to google contacts and phone dialer to android - its possible the samsung call app doesn’t have the necessary api as maybe works slightly differently with wear os and thus doesn’t need these api? -
@Jamie-BG there is only Samsung Phone app by default. But i tried Phone By Google which is official Google Phone app available in PlayStore. It is same as with samsung app, i see that someone is calling but no possibility to answer/decline. I checked all notification settings of phone app/suunto app and settings in android and in suunto app. All notifications are allowed. So probably just suunto app doesn’t support this on android.

@Tomas5 - likley the case then, as google phone app definitely gives me those options. But as fine on iOS sounds like it may be more of a suunto app issue than maybe the watch itself?
