i think, there are not so many different watch there.
Suunto could create them virtual - an you could do a first test in the virtual application - if ok, to a real device! -
When I was buying my first sports watch, the ability to develop apps (with Ambit3) was a deal breaker for me back then. I probably would have gone with Suunto anyway, but the possibility of app development made it a no-brainer for me. I really hope this is revived in some form or another. I would certainly pay for the option as well.

Pls bring SuuntoPlud to RUN / newer OS, currently it just barebone watch. It would be wonderful to extend library of functionality to your most affordable watch.

@false For this you’d need to be hired by Suunto

API for App development would be an awesome feature. For example, found Tennis score app, but it’s useless for actual game (scoring system is wrong). Can’t contact devs directly, can’t fix it myself. Some sort of github with open source and community help would solve the problem and would not hurt stability.
System level access to developers is risky, but for simple apps with open source - I see no harm.Such customization would greatly improve trust in a company and add actually useful stuff for all of the users.

Is there any progress (or anything happening at all) regarding open source / 3rd party app development for suunto+? I’ve seen some community developed apps in the Suunto+ store. Is this simply that an individual can apply to the Suunto partner program with a developed app so that others can use it?
Asking because I would like to have something where I can read glucose data on my watch instead of hauling my phone everywhere in my hand

Hello
I’ve made my own crossfit setup of exercices for my own need. And i’d like to add a kind off guided list to my crossfit sport …
On the suunto + app there is a similar app to select, but none of the exercices that I want to do are present. inside.
I’d like to make a similar one extendable, or take the already existing one and extend it.
maybe with vibration marker after defined time for each exercices…The other point I would like to have for an other type of sport to add to the chronometer function the ability to select a time in which the watch will broom or bip after reaching it, and count further. and give additionally the exceeded time that we spend for it.
Ideally would be fine if it’s already in the suunto software. but would be ok if we could use an SDK tool to create it by our own…

Shortly i’ve spoken with someone of the suunto support team.
I asked to having access on a suunto app sdk to produce my own app because I’ve observed that their are some suunto community apps.
I had for asnwer that they don’t have it and don’t give it.
And should ask to the community about how they do this. Then I asked for the information about which community, and who from the community to contact.
And he told me that I should ask by mayself to the community those question. They don’t know anything about.I’m really surprise that they take over some software part from a third developper group and don’t know what it do and have no info and no contact.
That’s for me unbelievable and a nonsense.Do someone know here, who from developper community develop some app and how?
