What do you expect from the next update?

@slurpnik from my point of view, the 100m deviation alert is ok :
- not too close to avoid continuous alerts
- not too far to be alerted soon enough
I’m with you on turn by turn improvements, data display on map (at least the altitude).
I’d love to see native structured workouts improvements (rep counter). -

@Carlos97atz Did you even read what I wrote? I literally used a Garmin, I know Garmin has it. I don’t have a Polar watch but can’t find ANY mention of such a feature online. Samsung doesn’t have it on their GW6 that I tried either. It’s not so common as you seem to think.

Hi everyone ,
here’s my whishlist for coming upgrades :Map :
- When ruler is on, it would be nice to also have an option for :
a) azimouth (degrees from the ruler line tonorth);
b) coordinates (in current format) of the actual point marked from cursor;
c) Optionally save theese coordinates in a waypoint; - Add more zoom out (possibly to 10 km and more) ;
Backlight and flashlight :
- Option to a “Military mode” with red backlight that don’t degrade the night vision .
Notifications :
- Double the available answers;
- Allow to combine/concatenate multiple answers before sending (intronucing a “commit” on the answers list) .
Watch faces :
- As someone said, not more but just better;
General use :
- A fast key (a shortcut) to rapidely mark a waypoint (MOB-key) .
Timer/stop watch :
- A graphic circle that fill or emty as time go .
- When ruler is on, it would be nice to also have an option for :
-
@moreno and lock button in time mode (not only automatically)
-
Another idea — Customizable bottom button.
Currently, Lap is useless for most activities.
So in reality we only have 2 buttons — this is definitely not enough in this type of watch (Garmin has 5 of them for a reason).
Ideally, it would be possible to pin a screen/widget or some function to this button. -
The solution to the virtually non-functioning turn-by-turn navigation is long overdue.
-
Just a small reminder to Suunto, but add the ability to lock the watchscreen.
-
I’m I the only one who need to restart my watch to have the heart rate working again since the last update? I had to restart it 2 days ago and now again, there is no green light under the watch.
-
@darxmurf I don’t have this issue. WHR works as expected.
-
@darxmurf, some users have experienced this behaviour before the last update (at least, I am able to say this from my side, as 9PP user…): the OHR sensor was stopping during the night (no flashing light), so a soft reset was requested to reinitialise it.
After the last update, this has never happened to me again.
-
@Matúš hum I just left the watch 1h on a flat surface and it lost the heart rate. So, there is something here, like an auto disable.
-
@outdoorrama
Yeah, that would be Great -
It should be possible to lengthen the kilometers of the trail of breadcrumbs.

Yeah, besides the sync issue (https://forum.suunto.com/topic/10512/unable-to-connect-sync-vertical-with-suunto-app-since-last-update/174) which is hopefully fixed soon the breadcrumb issue (https://forum.suunto.com/topic/10325/uncomplete-track-during-activity/54) imho is the most urgent one (considering vertical to be a mountaineering watch).
So many issues concerning even the basic functionality of the watch, hmmm… let’s see and hope for the best.

@ortles update today now failed… https://forum.suunto.com/topic/10653/software-update-2-33-14/7

It seems that I successfully managed to update on 2.33.14.
My watch shows 2.33.14 as current status of firmware. Sync seems to works now. For the moment it’s good to see that vertical seems to be back in the game

@ortles
I think @GiPFELKiND is not referring to the success of installing the update on his watch, rather a comment about the content
I have picked up this is a hotfix, not a planned update.
even a planned update does not contain all the bullets of our wish lists -
But, I have a question. Are there people on the Suunto team who actually read all our requests, ideas or bugs? It’s just curiosity.
Because if not, what good are all our ideas and requests here?
-
okay, updated my vertical with the last update and it looks like the HR sensor is fine now.
