@rooldaa No, because in my work I can’t use it since the new policy.

And no, am I not a Garmin fanboy
Would change back to Suunto in a heartbeat if it was like before.

@maszop I totally disagree as well. I came from Garmin, I used them since the first Forerunner probably 20 years ago.

I have had far less trouble with the two Suunto GPD models I have owned where it counts (for me anyway) recording activities.

I had countless issues with a variety of Garmin products. Fenix Watches, Edge bike Computer and handheld GPS units.

I have stuck with Suunto as they just work for me. I’m not bother about steps, if the watch tells me to train, sleep, all day heart rate etc. I just want the watch to record my activity and help me navigate when needed.

I can’t fault the Vertical and the maps are light years ahead of the laggy maps on my last Fenix.

@GiPFELKiND maps are not related to watch firmware. I would like to see some improvements in maps too, like, besides contour lines, some names of the sumits and cities/towns

@Todd-Danielczyk So, essentially is Suunto a Chinese company now?

@Mountain Yes, but the previous owner let all R&D and all manufacturing happen in Finland, which was very very cool (and one of the main reason I bought a Suunto watch), but Suunto was bleeding money every year.

Nowadays, you have almost none of the Manufacturing (well, there is a few model, but pretty low volume), and less and less R&D.

@cosme-costa yes suunto know about the Problem. Thats right… But suunto also know about the missing contour lines in the bavarian alps. Over 500m zoomlevel. More than 16 month. Until today No solution. 😂How long we have to wait?! How long YOU will wait? Let it be to make new Firmware --> correct the old one first and all known bugs… But if the 3.xxxxxx Firmware from the Suunto ow234 RUN will come 😂 we will have more bugs again 😂

I am pretty sure you are checking the maps update for your region frequently but around one month ago, I think it was in December, there was maps update (at least for Sweden) where I got much more detailed contour lines. Have you checked it since? There were no publications/dedicated threads about that on this forum if I recall correctly.

I’d expect the next update to focus on enhancing climbing features and sleep analysis, given the high vote counts for Suunto “ClimbPro” and Complete sleep analysis. It’d be great to see more customizable options too, like a HR-watch face.

I’d expect the next update to bring some of the features from the Run to the other devices. I suspect track runs, post-activity heart rate recovery analysis and possibly better audio feedback. I’d also hope to see some bug fixes and some minor improvements to sleep tracking and swim tracking. Also maybe some minor tweaks to the new turn-by-turn nav stuff. I was hoping for improvements to workout above/below range alerts but given the Run is a different platform I think maybe not in this update.
