What do you expect from the next update?
-
-
I would expect to be able to select a track on the treadmill.
-
Improvements to interval and recovery notifications (interval number / to end, recovery number / to end).
-
Add an additional custom field to the map, e.g., heart rate.
-
Improve the resting HR algorithm for the optical sensor, because I think most people use a chest strap during activity.
-
As always, new features and improvements are welcome.
-
-
If not this update, then maybe the next update will strongly support swimmers and will include at least:
- Improvement of the current swimming algorithm,
- Algorithm for learning the swimming style as it was in SuuntoAmbit3PEAK,
- Heart rate zones for swimming,
- Algorithm for counting the length of swimming only on legs (without arms).
-
Must have Hydration Tracking feature.
-
New Run features incorporated to Race & Vertical (please)
Thatâs enough for me
-
A basic scuba function like the Fenix 8. Donât expect it, more hoping for it

I wish there was - under the swimming pool sport option - an auto-lap of the actual laps you do (like in apple watch) whether based on the distance of the pool you select (I always di 18 meteres) or on autolap you set (but the minimum distance is 100 meteres). Like apple watcn does⌠this because the distance swam is correct but I dont get why I have to calulate myself the actual laps I doâŚ

@giuliosq Iâve not done much swimming with my Suunto watch but my understanding is that it works the other way round. Without GPS the watch doesnât have much of a handle on how far youâve travelled so it uses detection of motions that suggest youâve turned at the end of the lap along with the pre-set length of the pool to work out the distance youâve travelled. The âauto-lapâ type behaviour for swimming is more an âauto-setâ where it groups lengths together that it thinks have the same stroke and where youâve not stopped for a break.

@far-blue What the poster wantâs is a really simple data point that a certain category of swimmers use. For each length the watch should count upwards: âLap Nr 1â, 2, 3, 4, ⌠xx. Iâve often heard these swimmers say for example âToday Iâll do 40 lapsâ, or respond to a query from another person with âIâve got 10 laps leftâ. They do not use metres/yards as a measuring stick while actively performing the deed. Suunto could quite easily implement it (like so many other brands have done) but for some unfathomable reason they only give us the option to count a âlapâ with the minimal length of 100 metresâŚ
No extra algorithm is needed. When a push-off for the next 25 or 50 metres is detected (or 18 m as in the posterâs case), tick the âLap Nrâ up!

@Inge-Nallsson thanks both (even @far-blue ) thats my very simple point, as the watch perfecelty counts the 18 meters distance (perfectly) it means the movmenet sensor does its job, then why on earth the watch is not able to calclate the laps according to the swimming pool lenght I pre-set. itâd be easy by changing the auto lap distances accoringly to the pool length (which is âthe pool lenghtâ already an option). itâs just a very simple thing. thanks both

Tide watch!! Easy!

With more and more interesting SuuntoPlus apps coming out, some of them should be built into the main watch system - just like it started with Suunto Run.
And the current limit of 2 apps is a very poor solution.

Couldnât agree more.

My 3 wishes:
- possibility to enable tones only during activities
- possibility to disable vibration of the scrolling wheel only
- bluetooth management (which is apparently coming, I hope)

Disabling vibration only when scrolling, and keeping it for sports/notification⌠I canât believe thereâs still not an option to do that⌠Itâs important for me, especially for phone calls, so I am forced to have vibration when using crownâŚ
