At the start of the exercise, it now shows a different icon for external vs. internal HR! (If someone tells me my WHRB has had this for ever I will bite them. Hard.)

I thought in the SSSWHR the colour of the icon shows what sensor records the HR since the last update.
Internal: green icon, external (chest strap, Scosche , etc): red icon.
Expecting to be bitten (hard, of course), … or contradicted (might happen …) -
@shrek3k hmm far too subtle for me.
Clearly my HRM is heart-shaped too, and that’s why I recognise it…

Expecting to be bitten (hard, of course), … or contradicted (might happen …)I think you are correct, if you read the manual it states green for OHR and red for external.

Hmm. I’ve considered this: balls. There have been a few times when I’ve been glowering at my WHRB trying to determine if it’s connected to the external HRM, and I’ve never noticed red vs. green.
I blame the bright, bright CA sunlight (and not my inability to RTFM).

I wish more that ohrm to be engaged if strap battery dies instead of colors

@ze-stuart I looked at my last workout, actually there is a change of color of the heart-shaped icon. Green - OHR / Red -SS

@frédéric-fiandino I’ve since noticed, oh well!
