lost the ability to zoom in/out while following a track

Hello,
yesterday for the first time ever (!) I’ve had a problem with my S9PP, after a hour I could not zoom in or out the track anymore. Fortunately, since the place I was in was very impervious, it froze showing me the entire track and continuing to show me anyway the position I was in, not quite the best but enough to help us find the way back. I tried several times to select other modes (breadcrumbs etc) without having any effect though. I’m pretty sure I read something here on the forum but can’t find the post, any help?
