Software update 2.30.32

Also nope, this doesn’t help. The only thing that helps is if the watch is powered off and back on. After that, perfect sync but only until tomorrow morning again…
-
@Brad_Olwin It’s on my SV but issue is the same. I stopped and restarted my watch yesterday. After that I Synchronized with SA and values where the same in SA and in my SV.
This morgning after sync the values in the watch are still yesterday’s values.
I’m on latest IOs version too. -

Just a minor bug with the app symbols in the notification widget. I have noticed that using the watch with an iPhone, the Telegram app shows the app icon correctly. Using it with an Android phone, I just get the standard notification icon for any message. With Outlook everything works fine with both phones.

@jannis if you downloaded it from the web then there is an apk difference -> Did you download telegram apk from their website?

After using the Race Ti for 3 weeks continuously, these are my observations:
Battery consumption amazes me, compared with my S9P. It seems like I have double duration. It consumed approximately 1 charge (~5 - 100%) during 2 weeks of continuous usage (sleep tracking, incl. HRV/O2 & daily tracking on, messages off, raise to wake, display only) and ~15 h GPS activities. The S9P lasted ~1 week with the same usage.
Sleep tracking became way more dependable after the 2.30.32 update. It seems to nail the start-stop times now. Additionally, the nightly awake times seem to comply with my subjective observations. HRV also seems to go up/down compared with my subjective readyness/tiredness feeling. Thumbs up! The S9P also nailed the start-stop sleeping time.
HR tracking also seems to work better than with my S9P. I’ve been doing some indoor cycling with a chest strap connected to Zwift and the Race doing its own thing. There was only one episode where the race showed dropped HR for 1,5 min. during a ~ 1,5 hrs. exercise. The Race is continuously reading 1-2 beats below the Polar OH1. I’m not sure which of them is right. But they are following each other. During outdoor activities, the Race also tracks reasonable. Even during cold weather (-15 deg C) activities such as running and mountain biking. This is though based on perceived exertion and not compared with an HR strap.
The screen is amazing compared to the S9P!
UI including rotating crown is definitively an upgrade compared to the S9P. The rotating crown is super useful when wearing (thick) gloves while it’s -15 Deg C outside.
GPS accuracy is spot on. Though I’ve had good experience with the S9P as well.
Flashlight is a super useful gimmick when entering a dark bedroom where my partner and/or kids are sleeping.
According to my opinion, the S9P is WAY MORE beautiful. I really like the S9P design. I also think the SSU that I used before the S9P was nicer. But that’s irrelevant and subjective.
The watch/app CTL/TSB does not correspond for me either (known issue).
The increased weight compared to the S9P is not bothering me. I don’t notice it. The increased size is nice when using the watch during training, due to the increased screen size. Though during daily and sleep tracking, I prefer the S9P size. Either way, the increased size is still considered an upgrade due to the better screen and battery.
So, overall the Race is considered and upgrade from the S9P. I like it.

@Theo-Lakerveld the battery is significantly than the published length. Very impressed so far!

I noticed that in TSS widget the TSS-score is not updating.
(Maybe this has already addressed here in some thread, if so, sorry for double posting it)Like in the pics, the TSS score is 101 but in the phone app it’s 198.
When I scroll the TSS widget down I can see that the watch has logged my activity from today but it doesn’t show on the TSS score bar chart at all. -
Restarting the watch updated the TSS score.
This probably relates to CTL, ATL, TSB not syncing as same as in phone app. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Right now it’s from the Telegram from the Playstore. I tried it with 2 Android phones and both doesn’t show the app icon, so I guess it must be the app. But like I said, paired with an iPhone I didn’t had any problems.
But Telegram was just an example. Don’t know if with other apps the app icons show up right.
Update: with the app from the telegram homepage the app icon works properly.

Interesting observation:
- the total activity time is for example 2:30h
- I do a new activity, time 1h
- on the miniwidget of the clock face it is still 2:30h
- button down, quick setting and back again, for a second the correct time appears on the miniwidget, i.e. 3:30h, then after a second it is still 2:30h
- change the dial, the correct time of 3:30h remains

Why is my 5km running estimate 3 minutes slower than my actual 5 km running recorders on the watch today while running?
Estimate 26.30, actual 23.30. -
@Santana-Hakuba-Kikstra
Because it’s “estimation” ! It’s based on your overall performances and exercices. It depends on whereas you use a HR belt or not, or OHR.
Estimation algorythm uses a combination of a lot of parameters (I guess VO2 estimation, age, weight, performances, pace…)
It also depends on how many runs you’ve done since you’ve owned your SR.
The performance you’ve done will certainly impact the estimation.
Also, one “extra performance” doesn’t mean one could do it everyday.
Would be interesting to have someday a section with “best performances on 10km/half/marathon…” that could be balanced with this estimation. -
@Santana-Hakuba-Kikstra what is the VO2max reported by the watch?
And have you set age, weight, max HR etc. correctly? -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos what did today’s new version 2.30.38 bring?
The Race showed it this morning but there is no info anywhere I searched… -
@Olaf-Gottschalk Changelog is in the Watches forum as the changelog is common for 9PP, Vertical and Race.
-
@Mads-Hintz-Madsen thanks! Didn’t know I had to also look there!
-
@Tieutieu Just looking at my estimates on the watch… they look pretty close to what I should be able to achieve on a good day. I’ve noticed they’ve definitely came more into line now that I have a good number of runs in the watch and these estimated times are fairly stable now
-
Never mind… it’s been out a while.
Unable to delete this post.My Race just got updated to 2.30.38? Any details yet?
