Hi everybody. I won’t discuss about current issues, that’s boderig us, users. Just an idea. We’ve got ‘unused’ swipe to the left. Maybe in the future implementing in fw, such as Quick menu (Dayly stats, Do not disturb, Airplane mode, Alarms, etc) would be nice. The ‘neighboring’ Polar has used this on its wathces for many last years. Again. It’s a just an idea, suggestion. Anyway…Happy training with Race and Marry Christmas + HNY!

@ppresing Agree with you. Same for Vertical!

@ppresing Probably the UI design principle is such that the user should be able to use either buttons or touch screen to perform an action.

Maybe that is why left swipe is not used. All single press and long press operations already have a function so how would left swipe be implemented using the buttons? Double pressing the middle button could be used but probably prone to mis-detections.

My guess is that this is the reason there is no swipe-to-left functionality.

Thanks to @Mads-Hintz-Madsen I just discovered that a long press on the bottom button gives you a control panel similar to what you are asking (Do not disturb, alarm, airplane, and more)

Maybe there’s no need for that left swipe 😉

@Elipsus Just to make things clear:
The bottom button long press can be customised in the Race (which we are talking about here). Control panel can be accessed with a short lower button press (plus can be pined to the center button short press, but that would be redundant).

In Vertical the long press bottom button is fixed to control panel though.

@Likarnik in Race you have three customizable shortcuts plus the fixed functions.

                    Overview from watch face:

upper button short: last used sport quick start
upper button long: can be customized to functions
Crown short: can be customized to widgets
                    Crown long: Settings
                    lower button short: control panel
lower button long: can be customized to functions

@ppresing What do you mean “unused” swipe to the left? Does this mean that Race has a different UI? I’m asking out of pure curiosity. For comparison in SV when I swipe in left from principal watch face I have quick access to one widget. Otherwise swipping in the left and right you can navigate through the menu.

@Ars-Vitae I think the right description is really “swipe FROM the left” or “swipe TO the right”.

From the main watchface on the Race, a “swipe to the left” takes you to the pinned widget. A “swipe from the left” on the main watchface does nothing.

Isn’t this the same on the Vertical after the recent FW update?

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen the “Swipe to the right” is the same no-function on both Race and Vertical.
