Sunrise and sunset are wrong

@Airo no idea. maybe you can give some more information.
Like: what position does the watch show as your current position?
Map -> Your locationHow does the Sun&Moon widget look like?
Maybe you can share pictures of both?

Here is my position and what show the widget. The sunrise now is about at 10.30 and the sunset about at 14.40…

@Airo your GPS coordinates say that you are in Switzerland and Google gives same sunrise and sunset times as the watch for that location as seen below.
So are you somewhere else than Switzerland?

There is no way that your claimed sunrise and sunset times are correct for Switzerland. That is only 4hours of daylight.
Actually, those times are close to what we have here in Finland where I am right now.
If you feel that you have too little daylight at the moment then complain about the universe and not the watch. The watch is just telling you how it is

@Brad_Olwinnow I understand… I thought they were the hours with the sun present, but they are the hours of daylight. For me the presence of the sun is important because of the changes of the wind. I fly with the Paragliding …

useless featureI assume you meant ‘in your opinion, its a useless feature’? This might help to off-set the negativity in your statement.
I think everyone on here is trying to help you. I personally really appreciate the sunrise/sunset feature and it has always been accurate - for me at least.

This is when the sun is rising up above the horizon, or vice versa disappearing behind it. The watch does everything right according to your pictures. If a feature is useful for someone depends on the individual usecase. But usually somewhere around sunrise time you’ll have some daylight. The watch even shows twilight times. -

Genuine question…
Do I understand correctly that you want to know the amount of sun at a particular time? How would that be measured? By irradiance levels, lack of cloud formations…?The weather widgets shows an hourly forecast but that’s all it is, a forecast.

@surfboomerangI just want to know from when to when it’s sunny.
There is an app that tells you that based on your location. I would have liked the clock to do it too, but it “only” shows the daylight hours. -
@Egika The watch show the daylight, not when the sun rise up.
There is already light before of the sunrise, but the wind change significantly in the moment when the sun show up.
that is important for paragliding. -
@Airo The watch does show when the sun rises. It just doesn’t show you when it’s sunny in your location. Only the weather widget forecast comes close to that.

@surfboomerang I understood the point… Here there are big mountains, so we see the sun later than is shown in the widget.

@Airo I have the same issue as you. Sun disappears much earlier than sunset because of our mountains, I don’t know of any app or watch that will tell you sun visibility.

@Airo Ah ok, never thought of that one. I live in a region where the nearest mountain is hundreds of kilometers away

@Brad_Olwin I use the app Peak Finder. It shows you exactly where and what time the sun arrives, according to your position . It show you also the name and high of the mountains around you. That is very useful for me.
Maybe one day, the watch, could bring these informations from somewhere ?
