@Sanjay-Parmar Thanks Sanjay but I’ve never had an issue with my smart sensor which I’ve had for over 5 years now… I checked the data against the HRM on my S9 watch and smart sensor was definitely more accurate. I did recently replace the strap tho as the old one was falling apart, and I wonder if that is the issue. After unpairing etc again it is still looking like I’m asleep or having a heart attack while doing a trail run yesterday… I might contact Suunto Support re: my new strap. Cheers

@isazi as today it is correct for me as well on IOS, might be difficult for me as well to reproduce it. The only difference compared to yesterdays status is, that today I was not on a walk (next to my training). So it can be, that due to my recorded walking, the bars were not the same as the “text” value. Just an idea. (As it is raining today, I afraid of I will not walk today )

@nassoscal I would risk stating what you may consider obvious: the proper way of recording activities, so that they show in Strava is: enable export of activities from Suunto App (SA) to Strava (in SA) sync activity from watch to SA SA sends the activity to Strava )this should happen automatically) Strava (app or web) should not need connecting (syncing) the watch to the app. Please note that occasionally, the sync process (from SA to Strava) takes a while (anything from a few seconds to a few hours). Sorry for talking the basics, but your original post wasn’t overly clear.

@runomatic I have all apps like that if I do not need constant location. In the case of SA, only when I need it to register an activity (quite unlikely) or check maps. So, having it that way does not interfere with my use of the app and I guess that it will save battery (do not know how much, however). J

I was told to install SA on another device, this time with Android OS installed… I did it and there everything is fine, i.e., I can now compare activities for iOS, as a last attempt, I tried unpair the watch, hw resetting it and reinstalling from the beginning SA, but issue still happened.

This is an old tread but this continues being an issue. Today’s example: Route ascent/descent when planned in Suunto app: 9200+ ft. The same route ascent/descent when planned in Strava : 7426 ft Actual ascent/descent measured by Race: 7477 ft. The same route ascent/descent measured by Garmin Epix and Fenix 7: 7800 ft. This is way off! Most of the time Suunto App underestimates elevation by 10-20%, but I find that in large mountains it seems to overestimate, especially, I suspect, when traversal of steep slopes is involved. At the same time, Strava is pretty much spot on. Too bad, when a route is synced from Strava to Suunto app, the revelation data is overridden by Suunto app.

@nathant said in ZoneSense not appearing in iOS app: I’m not seeing ZoneSense for any activities recorded on other devices and synced through RunGap, i don’t know rungap, nor iOS, but on the Suunto’s side i may experienced myself, outside Suunto activities are not uploaded in Suunto with full data management. HR data are “just” Hearth Rate ones, and probably not IBI ones (RR/HRV) I didn’t check recently, but you can try : export a nice suunto activity fit file, with all data, zonesense working, etc… Reimport it without any change into Suunto with Rungap, you may loose something not a criticizm, Suunto is having its own devices and manage its own data, and then, when it comes to outside activities, it is managing according to priorities, i think. Even if fit files are well structured, i imagine that so many data “format”/“issues” could not be compliant, and thus a nightmare to manage. Just my own user experience and thinking. [edit] original file for activities imported from outside are stored in Suunto’s backend, as far as i know and see. Meaning, original data are there somewhere
